The meeting with Admiral Koneki had been both short and long… short in regards to the actual time spent in the office, and long in respect to the way Luke had been made to feel under the constant gruelling glares of the highest ranking officer of this base. That the statues of ancient Egyptian gods had been standing guard behind the Admiral had only made the entire scene that much more difficult to handle, Onison uncertain if those large stone-made sculptures had been there for another reason other than to distract and intimidate anyone who came into the room.

With the meeting over, Luke could finally concentrate on those things that had been in his mind since his rescue from the water planet that he and Lea had crashed onto thanks to the incompetence of his own people. Onison would have preferred if their rescue had come at the hand of someone other than an SFI crew, but given the circumstances Luke had been grateful for not having perished.

Thinking of the ship that he had been stranded on brought Lea to his mind. She had been so easy to play, so easily fooled by his charms and words. **So simple,** he chuckled to himself. She was a charming girl really, and Luke almost felt sorry for her. **But I cannot allow feelings to get in the way.**

He could allow *NOTHING* to stand in the way of his ultimate goal. He thought with some amusement about the intelligence reports he had received on himself, or 'Loki'. No one could pin him down. Some credited him as belonging to the Mordsythe, others, the Orion Syndicate. In some reports, he was tall, some reports, he was a woman, and still others, another species entirely. Nobody quite knew who he was, or even what he was up to; including his own employers, on both sides.

He reached inside his shirt and took out the mindstone, which he had put on a necklace around his neck. He gazed at it, grinning. He was nobody's lacky, and served no one save one man - himself. His goal? To destroy all order, and replace it with his own controled chaos. To make the masses bow to him, and bring the powers of the galaxies to their knees.

This risk he now took, in coming back to Starfleet was well worth it. For it was with the artifacts that Luke would rule over the universe. It would be simple - All he needed to do was reboard the ANUBIS, and all the peices would be his...

Vering away from grandious thoughts as he looked around the quarters to which he had been assigned to, Luke actually missed for a very brief moment the small and cramped room that he had been held in while onboard the USS ANUBIS. As little as it had been, the room at least had a view of the stars… the windows on NEW ALEXANDRIA gave onto the uneventful view of the docking area and more specifically the USS ANUBIS itself. At least there had been one major advantage between these quarters and those that he had on that vessel... Luke could leave these at any time he so desired.

After having spent some time investigating the base that he had been brought to, Luke had requested from the computer the location of the ANUBIS' CSciO whom he quickly ventured forth to see. By the time he had arrived to this section of NEW ALEXANDRIA, the woman with whom he had been trapped with had already left, but that had not bothered him in any way since the Shillian had been the person he had been searching for.

"Ladies… it is a most fortunate turn of events that I was able to find you here." Luke offered as he approached the table where the Ops and CSciO had been sitting at, his voice flowing as sweet as golden honey.

"Lt. Onison… the pleasure is actually ours… I had wanted to see you since well before we had arrived here but I was unable to reach you do to various security reasons." The Shillian promptly offered in return as she invited the man to sit, a gesture that had in no way been echoed by the half Human, half Romulan woman sitting at the same table. It had not been at all difficult for Luke to see that the Ops officer had neither liked or trusted him and that gaining her respect and maybe even friendship would be a very demanding task.

"Actually I just came by to give you this… and from what I heard it might prove to be something that you will find most interesting." Luke announced as he placed a small oval rock covered with odd markings in the middle of the table.

He surveied the women as Maya grabbed up the stone like a child grabbing candy. The Shillian scientist would be easy to fool, he figured. She seemed to be the type that didn't know what was happening around her. Serena seemed to be more reserved about him, but he would eventually win her over.

"Well, if you'll excuse me ladies, I need to track down Lea. I'll see you two later." He gave them a brilliant smile and then left the table, grinning to himself.

Following his most generous donation to the ANUBIS' CSciO, Luke ventured into one of the base's gymnasiums only to find that his good fortune had not abandoned him.

"Cmdr. Rikar… what a pleasant surprise… and who is this lovely child?" Luke offered as he approached the redheaded woman and the young girl that had been in the woman's arms.

"Her name is Talia… my daughter." The young woman proudly announced, moving the child in her arms in such a manner so as to have Talia look at the new arrival. Almost immediately Talia's smile vanished from her face before she quickly turned away and did her best to hide from the man using her mother's shoulder.

"Guess she is the shy type." Luke grinned, turning his attention to the ExO of the ANUBIS, the ship that he knew he would be serving on as SOO, a fact that Lt. Onison suspected the redheaded woman had not as of yet been made aware of.

"I am truly sorry about that… Talia is not usually the shy type… actually it is normally quite the opposite." Rikar explained, completely at a loss to explain her daughter's reaction to Luke.

"She's beautiful anyhow," he smiled. "Just like her mother, he nodded towards Sabrina.

"Oh," Sabrina laughed, shaking her head. "I"m her adoptive mother. Enaii is the real mother. She's my wife."

Luke raised his eyebrow, surprised by this twist, especially considering the frigid treatment that he had recieved from the ILO on the ANUBIS. "Oh," he said simply. "And the father?"

Sabrina shook her head. "I wish I could tell you. There is none that I know of."

He shrugged. "In either case..." Luke smiled wide. "Everyone's a little jumpy around here, huh?"

The ExO sighed slighty. "A little. It wears on you, but one gets use to it."

The Lieutenant nodded. "I know how it is, trust me. But hey, I have to run..." He paused. "Hey, look, um..." He scratched his head. "You seem to be the sanest one around here... mind if we go for some coffee later? Maybe chat things up a bit?"

Sabrina laughed. "I'll think about it... it's Onison right?"

"Please, call me Luke," he grinned. "I'll see you around, Commander."

Rikar smiled. "Sabrina."

"Sabrina then." He gave her a mock salute and walked off. **This is getting to prove interesting,** he thougth to himself.

Luke returned to his still unfurnished quarters, his mood on high. His stroll around the base had proven to be very optomistic. "Computer, one dozen roses, red, freshly cut and bundled."

With a hum, the replicator matirealized his request. He grinned, picking them up. Ms. Summers would certainly appreciate it... it was time to begin the real charm. It was time to ask her out on a date. Briefly, he stopped at his desk, and opened the drawer slightly, and peered inside.

The real mind stone sat safe in the desk, with nobody the wiser. The replicator had served him well - An anaylsis of the fake mind stone would reveal nothing more than what the real mind stone revealed to him. With an evil chuckle, he swept out of his room, Lea on his mind.
