"...Forget about him and anything else like it. Enjoy the moment, because you never know when you will be able to enjoy it again." Luke was frozen to the spot, hidden out of sight of David and Lea. He had just arrived, but the words he had just overheard suddenly caused him to wonder.
He peered out from behind the wall he was hiding behind. His blood ran cold at the sight. Lea was sitting there, holding David's hands, with a smile on her face, and a look in her eyes...
He turned away, heart pounding in his ears. A flush came to his face with a sudden rage at the Engineer. How DARE he move in on his girl? He trembled in raw anger. NOBODY crossed Loki like that. What right did Dawson have? First, the mistrust, and now this?
He clenched his fist, ready to go and fight David, when he stopped.
Why did he feel the rage? Why was he jealous? Lea was a target, not a love interest. All this time, hee had been feigning his affections. Could it be that Lea could tell that it had been genuine, and had fallen prey to the charms of another man? But if Luke's emotions, had not been genuine, why was he feeling this rage and jealousy now? And then again, why were his feelings genuine.
Frustrated, he roared out a cry and ran out of the holodeck, uncaring that the couple he had been spying on had heard.
