Stardate: 60305.0755
Setting: USS ANUBIS, Corridor outside Lt. Dawson's quarters

Lea rubbed the sore knuckles of her right hand. For the last several minutes the Assistant CMO had tried to get the CEO's attention but to no avail. Either David was the most impossible man to wake up in the morning, or he was ignoring her.

"David Dawson! I know that you are in there, so open up!" Lea yelled with all of her might. If the physical approach did not work, the Assistant CMO would try something else. "And don't try to pretend that you are not in there. I had the computer check for your life signs, so I *know* that you are in there, somewhere," Lea said adding a fierce kick against the lower section of the door for good measure. **Maybe David will open the door so that he doesn't have to fix it,** the Assistant CMO thought, hoping that she had not fractured her toes.

"Are you feeling alright?" The Marine CO said, approaching Lea with a look on his face that said it all. Either Lea had wanted to break something or she had gone nuts. Luckily for them the ANUBIS had recently obtained the services of a Cns. "If you are trying to pick a fight with that door, I would like to place my bets on it," Pravat added with a wicked grin.

"Thanks for the vote of support!" Lea huffed. "I'm not trying to pick a fight with the door, I'm trying to get David's attention. He's ignoring me."

Prav glanced at the door which had remained closed despite Lea's efforts. From what he had heard through the grapevine, it made sense for the CEO to want to be alone, but to shut out Lea did seem to be a little of an excess. It had not become wide spread knowledge that Lea and David had become *close*, but it had not been a highly guarded secret either. The time Lea had spent in the Infirmary had made it hard for anyone not to know, or at least wonder, about those two.

"Maybe he just needs some time to himself," Prav said, imagining that if what he had heard had been true, David would not be in the best of moods. "I'm sure he'll come out when he is good and ready. In the meantime, I'm sure he appreciates you trying so hard."

"I hope that he will also appreciate the sprain ankle I have inflicted on myself," Lea said as she hopped away from the door. "They make those blasted things to last."

The Marine CO grinned at the spectacle. It was hard to believe that the woman bouncing on one foot and the Ensign who had openly voiced her hatred of all Marines had been one and the same. Something had changed in Lea, and by the general looks of things it had been a change for the better.

"If you are not planning on launching a counter assault against the door, I will leave you two alone. I hear a set of eggs calling my name," Pravat said, walking away from Lea with a bounce in his step.

"Is it the eggs calling," Lea teasingly said in return, "or is it a certain Shillian scientist that you are hearing?"

The Marine CO stopped and turned. It was true that he was going to be having breakfast with Maya, but he had not expected it to be common knowledge. After a few moments, Pravat turned away from Lea and walked away figuring that the best comment for the time being had been to say nothing. It seemed that Lea and David had not been the only two blossoming relationships on the ANUBIS, not that the Marine considered what he and Maya shared to be a relationship. At least not as far as the Marine CO had considered about the time that they had been spending together.
