Stardate: 60321.0245
Setting: TANGIERS ORBITAL, 5th Floor, Sevaal's Quarters
Having returned to her quarters to get some semblance
of rest, the Romulan/Terran hybrid carefully reviewed
all that had been said about T'Preel, Gul Zulot, and
most important their presumed role in the death of
Jordan. Overhearing a conversation was by no means
the be all and end all proof that the Romulan and
Cardassian in question had been the ones who had been
responsible for the passing of David's brother, but
that had not deterred the CEO from wanting to act.
Thinking about her Academy classmate, the
Romulan/Terran hybrid had to admit that David had show
a remarkable amount of self-restraint remembering
without any difficulties the time when the engineer
had dented one of the support struts on the AVALON
with his bare hand. Acting out of anger was something
that David knew all too well, and the fact that he had
not given into this primal urge to strike out meant
that Dawson had grown, both as an individual as well
as an officer.
Focussing back on T'Preel, the woman currently known
as T'Pring or Sevaal depending on who she spoke to,
tried to better understand T'Preel as any insight into
the man's character could prove invaluable later on.
The Tal'Shiar had labelled the Romulan Centurion as a
rogue officer acting on his own while David had
figured him and his lackeys to be mere mercenaries.
Accepting what the Tal'Shiar operative had reported as
truth meant that T'Preel had hired the others to help
him carry out his plans of conquest and domination
making his termination that much more of a priority
for both the Romulan and Federation Intel divisions.
Dealing with an organization with a set pattern of
activity was preferable to having to guess what act of
terrorism a group of mercenaries would do next, and
more important not having to guess on what side of the
border this act would take place was a major
advantage. Having been declared an outlaw by his own
government meant that T'Preel would have to fight
opposition from multiple sides making the man and his
underlings that much more unpredictable and dangerous.
Attacking the MERCURY was proof that they had no
issues with challenging Starfleet, this meant that
they had to be stopped before their pattern escalated
to include civilian casualties.
Knowing very well that all things dealing with Intel
was not as it appeared, the Romulan/Terran hybrid
tried to also understand why the Tal'Shiar had given
T'Preel false Intel about the AVALON and its former
CO. Drawing the rogue Romulan Centurion out in the
open could have been achieved through countless other
ways, so why chose the TANGIERS ORBITAL, a location
filled with civilians that could easily become
unfortunate victims of the Romulan's unpredictability?
Understanding the Romulan Intel Agency as she did,
the ANUBIS' COO figured that there was an ulterior
motive to this operation, one that the woman in the
role of Sevaal could only guess involved SFI on some
level. Why else give T'Preel inaccurate Intel about a
Federation ship and its captain?
Trying to think as the Romulan/Terran hybrid
envisioned the head of the Tal'Shiar to be, Sevaal
could only imagine that the false Intel had been meant
to not only bring T'Preel here along with his
associates, but to also have the Federation present as
well. The reason for this could only be because of
one of two things: the Tal'Shiar wanted the help of
SFI in stopping the rogue Romulan Centurion, an option
that the COO highly doubted, or because the Tal'Shiar
had hoped to, as the saying went, strike down two
birds with the same stone.
If everything went according to *their* plan, T'Preel
would be removed as a threat and the Federation would
expose one or more of its operatives to the Tal'Shiar,
but since Sevaal had not been informed of this the
only possible conclusion was that there was one or
more other Romulan Intel Operatives present onboard
the TANGIERS ORBITAL. Now more than ever the
Romulan/Terran hybrid wished that she had been able to
speak to Enaii about this.
