Stardate: 60321.0930
Setting: TANGIERS ORBITAL, unknown room

The prick in her arm was now nothing but a distant memory. The image of the needle that had been shoved into her arm had given way to incomprehensible shapes and colours. As the ANUBIS' CMO, Lea knew that what she had been given had been meant to distort her perception of reality. This would make her more susceptible to suggestions made by her captors. It would also make her more cooperative in answering the questions asked of her. That was not a good thing.

Thoughts of her betraying her shipmates, her friends, filled Lea's mind. They had rescued her from the clutches of death once before, and this would be her repaying them for this? Lea could not allow this outcome to become reality. She had to stop it, at any cost.

Not wanting to betray those who had believed in her, Lea forced the information learned about Brendil Nanuska to the front of her mind. Maybe if she buried her own identity as deep as possible she would be able to resist revealing details that she should not. While doing so though, Lea thought of another problem. What if they asked her questions on other members of the ANUBIS' crew? How would she answer? How else could she answer?

With that frightful thought anchored in her mind, Lea tried to force what she knew of their undercover identities to her mind. Telling those holding her captive about the people that they had come here claiming to be would not be any problem. At least that was Lea hoped.

Lea looked once again at the door, this time seeing it as if in a dream. The frame moved as if made of jell-o and the door itself seemed to be only half there. The voice of her captor sounded as if it came from a different dimension. All of these things made it clear to Lea that it would be very difficult for her to kept her wits and not reveal anything classified. The best she could do was to focus her mind on other things, other people, other events.

Through the door which waved in and out of existence, Lea saw who she thought was a large muscular man. The heavy body armour and gun the size of a canon identified him as the bounty hunter David had taken on the role of being. Even through her distorted vision Lea could see the grin on the face of her saviour as he opened fire. The strange thing though was that there was no sound. The multi-barrel gun had fired without making the slightest noise and her energy bolts had apparently all missed their marks. This including everything in the room as well as the walls.

Lea's head was suddenly turned to one side. The CMO could only guess that the distorted face she saw belonged to the man who had been standing behind her. His eyes reached into her soul, making Lea try to look away but to no avail. The grip on Lea's chin almost as tight as the ropes around her wrists and ankles.

"What do you know about the AVALON?"

As the MCO of the ANUBIS, Lea knew little about the AVALON, but enough to blow her cover as well as everyone else's. This meant that she had to reply as Brendil Nanuska, the widowed wife of a Halanan diplomat.

"Nothing," Lea said. The answer had not been what the man had wanted to hear. That became obvious as his grip of Lea's chin drop down to her neck. The unknown man waited several seconds before asking the question again. Gradually pressing his fingers deeper into the flesh of Lea's neck making it increasingly difficult to breathe.

The lack of oxygen combined with the drugs that had been administered made it so that Lea could no longer play this game. Her willpower has slipped from her so much so that the only thing left was Lea's desire for self-preservation. Gasping for air, Lea looked up at the man, ready to reveal what little she knew about the AVALON.

The USS AVALON was a diplomatic vessel. Lea was assigned to it just before it was decommissioned and its crew reassigned. The CO at the time was Capt. James Simmons and the ExO was Commander Sabrina Rikar. All of this and much more had been on Lea's lips, ready to come out but at the last minute the CMO stopped. This was not because she had found a source of renewed willpower but because a greater fear had made itself known.

As consciousness left Lea, the crystal clear image of the ILO standing behind her captor was all that the Halanan woman could remember. Maybe Enaii had come to rescue her, or maybe it had been a trick Lea's mind had played. Either way it had served the purpose of insuring that nothing about the AVALON be divulged. This would last until Lea was returned to consciousness and the interrogation started all over again.
