The young woman had returned to her seat with a smile… if anyone could
turn any situation to her advantage it had been Enaii. As far as the
redheaded woman had been concerned, if anyone could pit 3 VIPER-Class
Interceptors against a single GALOR-Class Destroyer… and *win*, the ILO had been that person.
Back at the situation at hand, the ANUBIS had moved right next to the first of the 2 ships that they had been fighting, the shields of the Cardassian vessel having been knocked offline by the expert aim of their Sec/Tac officer. The CO had just received confirmation that the Marines led by 1st Lt. Pravat had been beamed onboard the ship when the young woman was almost thrown from her chair by what had felt like a tremendous impact.
"What the heck was that?" The young woman inquired as she looked back to the CEO from whom she expected the answer to come from.
"Would you believe that those blasted Cardassian *rammed* us?" David rhetorically asked, the fact of the matter having been that the GALOR-Class vessel had been made to run into the SCARAB-Class ship.
"Looks like they were desperate… since they noticed that their phasers had no effect and that we were now too close to use missiles, they went with the only option available to them." Ens. Eva explained from the Tactical station as she scanned her console appearing rather stunned by the boldness of the move made by their opponent.
"Reading external hull breaches on decks 9 through 12... Emergency force fields have been engaged." The half Human, half Romulan ExO reported, her voice only slightly betraying the surprise she also felt at the unexpected move made by the Cardassians.
"Casualty reports coming in from those decks Sir." The ANUBIS' avatar, currently holding the responsibilities of the Ops Officer stated, her duties including keeping the CO, ExO and the rest of the bridge's staff appraised of the situation of their ship and crew.
"Bridge to Ens. Summers… medical emergency on deck 9 through 12, section 11-Alpha." The ExO said after having opened a comm channel to the ship's medical facility.
=/\= Understood… but would someone mind telling me what the heck just happened? What did we get hit by, an asteroid? =/\=
"Negative Doctor… the Cardassians decided to use a more direct approach against us." The hybrid explained in as few words as she could, her attention having been required elsewhere at that moment.

"Oh!" The CMO gasped as she pictured the kind of desperation that had
likely driven the Cardassians to have their ship collide with the ANUBIS… that
or they had simply lost control of their ship. Either way this meant that
she would have to deal with a wide variety of injuries and trauma, not all
of them physical.
"We're ready!" One of the medical techs announced as he held on to one of the many medical kits that had been set for such emergencies. With a motion of her head, the CMO sent the team of nurses and medical techs on their way before she reached for her comm badge.
"Lea to Susan." The CMO called out, the urgency in her voice making it perfectly clear that this had not been a courtesy call but rather a plea for assistance.
=/\= Susan here… what happened? =/\=
"I was just informed that we were rammed by the Cardassians and that we have hull breaches on decks 9 through 12. I have dispatched medical personnel to take care of the injuries, but they I'm pretty certain that they will need help from your department." The CMO explained, hoping that her friend had not been too busy with some other problem to lend a hand with the situation that they were now in the middle of.
=/\= Which sections? =/\= Susan promptly inquired, stating at the same time that she had been more than ready to assist.
"11-Alpha." Lea informed without hesitation, glad to know that she could count on her friend to help during this time of need.
=/\= I'm on my way… Mei out. =/\=

Confident that the medical and psychological needs of her crew would be
well taken care of by the CMO and Cns, the young woman turned her complete
and undivided attention to the CEO and the mechanical needs of her *ship*.
"Lt. Dawson… report." The CO demanded as she mentally braced herself for what she expected to be a very bad news. Not being as knowledgeable in the fiend of engineering as she might have liked… or as she might have required to be, the redheaded woman had to heavily rely on the expertise of the man who had more than once proven himself at ease in that same domain.
"The ablative armour took the greater part of the impact force… which is both good and bad. The good part is that it likely stopped that Cardassian Destroyer from reaching the inner sections of the ship, the bad part is that the bent ablative plating are now acting as hooks making sure that neither them or us are going anywhere. All hull breaches have been sealed by force fields, but it's going to take several hours to just figure out a way to get the 2 twisted masses of metal separated." David reported as he read the reports that were now flooding his console.
"Need I remind you that we have another GALOR-Class ship out there that might just see this as the perfect time to strike against us?" The young woman inquired, not at all liking the idea that the 2 ships would be intermingled for *hours*.
"Yeah… I know… and once again it's going to be up to me to find a solution to get us out of this mess. I know that I'm not getting paid for this, but I think I am due for one heck of a raise none-the-less." The CEO announced in a half amused and half annoyed tone of voice as several possibilities to resolve their current dilemma began to form in his mind.
"Lt. Dawson… I am sure that I speak for us all when I say that we have the utmost confidence in your abilities of making the impossible happen… and that in record time." The ExO offered in such a way that everyone knew that the hybrid had been entirely serious in what she had said.
"With all due respect… Sirs… Damage control is easy… dealing with a Cardassian pile of junk that is now attached to us, that's hard! But you all know me… I'll get it done, somehow… even if I have to get out there and push." David announced sounding as confident as he could in regards to meeting the expectations of his fellow crewmembers… as unrealistic as they might have been.
The young woman grinned… despite all of his complaining, Rikar knew that Dawson was the right man for the job and that he would be able to make it all work out… as he had done so many times before.
