Setting: NEW ALEXANDRIA, Section D-2, Level 8, Observation Deck

Looking at the ship below her current position the Romulan/Terran hybrid could understand the timeframe of the repairs and refit scheduled for the USS ANUBIS which would see it remain within the hidden base for over a month. Restoring the ship to its former glory would require a great deal of work and time, and the XO suspected that the same could be said for the task of proving the CEO's innocence against the charges brought against him.
While contemplating the extent of the work that was ahead of her, the Romulan/Terran hybrid heard faint footsteps gradually growing louder as they moved closer her way. Without looking back the XO of the ANUBIS greeted the owner of these footsteps after a few moments. "Good morning Commodore Simmons."
Stopping right next to the Romulan/Terran hybrid the base's COO was happy to see that the former Sec/Tac officer had not lost her edge despite her change in responsibilities and the daunting task that now hung on her shoulders. Looking at the ship through the protective glass instead of the hybrid standing next to him, the Commodore smiled and said, "How are you holding up Serenna?"
Hiding her personal feelings as skilfully as a Tal'Shiar operative, the Romulan/Terran hybrid turned to face her former CO before replying. "I am doing fine, but I am sure that you will understand it when I say that I will be much better once both the ship and her crew are restored to their full working capabilities."
Knowing the ANUBIS' XO as he did had only made it that much easier for the base's COO to understand the message laced within the words spoken by the Romulan/Terran hybrid. Nodding his support Commodore Simmons silently wished the hybrid best of luck as he stepped away relaying one piece of information that would prove to be invaluable. "See you in 72 hours then."
Returning her attention to the crippled ship beyond the glass the XO inwardly sighed as she thought that within the next three days the team working on David's defense would not only have to find a cure but also to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that SDS was real and that the CEO had not been himself when the transgressions took place. Failure in proving this would condemn Lt. Dawson to life in a penal colony or worst, death.

After having requested the location of the ship's CMO and Cns, the Romulan/Terran hybrid had set a course for the crew lounge where both officers had been reported being. Thinking that maybe chance had finally decided to side with her, the XO quickly reconsidered this belief when she saw the newly assigned Sec/Tac Officer heading coming her way.
Relying on his warrior instincts the Nausicaan had known even before seeing the approaching officer that something unpleasant was heading his way, but reacting as a Starfleet officer above all else, Ens. Rostov held his course and his manners. "Morning Commander."
Having to deal with a court-martial was bad enough, but having to accept the Nausicaan as the ANUBIS' new Sec/Tac had been almost more than the Romulan/Terran hybrid could manage. As their eyes met, the XO pictured herself doing a roundhouse kick aiming for the giant's lower back to bring him down to size so that she could have a clear and unobstructed shot at his neck.
Catching herself in the middle of this disturbing fantasy the Romulan/Terran hybrid stopped dead in her tracks and silently scolded herself for allowing such unprofessional thoughts to take hold of her mind if even momentarily. "Good morning Ensign Rostov, how are you liking the ANUBIS?"
Easily seeing through the false friendly grin, the Nausicaan forced himself to respond as a member of the crew on which the Romulan/Terran hybrid held the position of XO instead of as the warrior his genetics had made him to be. "It is an honor to be onboard, the ship is truly amazing." **The crew could use some tweaking though.**
Fighting the images of combat that were trying to once again invade her thoughts, the Romulan/Terran hybrid decide to bring this discussion to a rapid conclusion before things got out of hands. "I will be looking forward to seeing your training routine for the members of the Security department, I can only hope that they will not be too much for you to handle."
Walking away being less than happy that she had actually said what she had, the Romulan/Terran hybrid resumed her course for the ship's crew lounge to meet up with Ens. Mei and Ens. Summers while hoping that Ens. Rostov would not take her last words as a declaration of war. Maybe after the trial the two of them would be able to clear the air, but right now the XO had more pressing matters to attend to.

Stepping inside the large room, the Romulan/Terran hybrid was glad to see that the two women she had been looking for had still been where the computer had reported them to be. Approaching the table where the two Ensigns had been sitting, the XO's initial words were quickly replaced by an observation of the state the two women appeared to be in. "Was there a fight that I was not told about? You two look like you were put through intense Marine training overnight."
Trying to camouflage the tale-tale signs of their previous night's activities, the two women quietly denied any wrong doing while inviting the Romulan/Terran hybrid to join them for tea or coffee.
Glancing at her friend, Ens. Summers decided to shift the focus of conversation onto the Cns so as to avoid having to report that no progress had been made in the discovering of a cure for Lt. Dawson. "Last night was rough, especially for Susan who went head to head with Nico and Uxtar in a drinking contest."
After striking the CMO for what she had said, Ens. Mei turned to face the XO only to see the Romulan/Terran hybrid livid and ready to leap out of her seat. The simple mentioning of the Nausicaan's name had been sufficient to trigger something within the hybrid and the Cns thought it best to act quickly before another court-martial would have to be considered.
