Setting: NEW ALEXANDRIA, Section G, Level 1, Containment Area Alpha
Stardate: 60327.1500
Standing on the middle of the room where David should have been the Romulan/Terran hybrid could not help but wonder what had happened. Thinking that it would have been impossible for the CEO to escape unseen, not only because of the security that had surrounded him but also because he had been far from being a stealthy kind of person, the XO came up with a possible scenario which she wasted no time confronting the CO with. "What did you do with him?"
Looking back at the XO in disbelief the CO responded to the accusatory tone of the Romulan/Terran hybrid the only way she could. "In my ready room, now!"
Leaving the hybrid behind, the CO gave the Nausicaan Sec/Tac officer a quick look which instructed him to make sure that the XO complied with the order that she had been given. After nodding his understanding the Ensign turned and faced the Romulan/Terran hybrid as if daring her to challenge the orders of her captain and giving him the opportunity to maybe see exactly what the woman had against him.
Looking at the vacant room one last time the Romulan/Terran hybrid kept her emotions in check while thinking that maybe accusing her CO of having had some involvement in this latest chapter in the saga of the CEO had been stepping over the line. Expecting to get the book thrown at her the XO exited the room without giving the Nausicaan any cause for him to act against her.

Setting: USS ANUNBIS, CO's Ready Room
Stardate: 60327.1515
To say that the voyage back to the ANUBIS' command deck had been overly quiet would have been a severe understatement, the XO having been able to hear the echoes of whispered voices as she followed the path the CO had taken. By the time the Romulan/Terran hybrid had arrived in the captain's office, the hybrid suspected that the entire ship had learned of the disappearance of their CEO and that the neck of their First Officer was about to be placed on the chopping block.
Looking straight at the woman standing behind her desk, the XO heard the doors hiss shut behind her sealing her to a fate that she had brought upon herself. Knowing that she had been wrong, the Romulan/Terran hybrid took a deep breath and prepared to offer an explanation if not an apology for her behaviour but before she could speak the CO turned and confronted her second in command. "Serenna, I know that we have had our differences of opinion in the past, and despite them I have always valued your presence and clarity of thought."
Seeing the words of her CO as a peace overture between them, the Romulan/Terran hybrid wasted no time and followed suit with what she had intended on saying in the first place. "I am sorry, I was out of line. When you brought those accusations against David I truly thought that you had over reacted and now that he has vanished I thought that maybe you had decided to take matters into your own hands and not wait for the outcome of the court-martial."
Inviting her XO to take a seat the CO did the same showing that this meeting would be conducted on more friendly terms. "Bringing those charges against David was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but it was something that needed to be done, for his own good. If he had not been made to face the possibility of a court-martial we might have never discovered his problem. As hard as it may be for you to see, we are on the same side, I just have had enough pussyfooting around while he continues to defy orders and endanger members of my crew, of *our* crew."
Understanding the reasoning behind the actions of her CO, if not entirely agreeing with them, the Romulan/Terran hybrid decided to make peace with her captain and move onto the problem that they now faced. "Then the question remains, who took David out of that room without anyone seeing him? Lt. Dawson is not an easy man to hide, or move without his consent."
Appearing relieved to see that the war between them had finally come to an end, the CO reached for the communication monitor on her desk. "I have an idea about that, the only problem is that I doubt he will admit to it if he had anything to do with what happened."
Moving around the desk to see who the CO had wanted to speak to, the Romulan/Terran hybrid arrived just in time to see the face of the administrative receptionist fill the small screen. [/\] Captain Rikar, Commadner Serenna, how may I help you? [/\]
Glancing over to the woman next to her the XO kept her comments about the cheerfulness Allyson displayed on a perpetual basis, the woman never appearing as having a bad day or being caught at a wrong time.
Matching the woman's cheerfulness as best she could the CO explained the purpose of her call without delay. "I would like to speak to Admiral Koniki, it is a matter of some urgency. My CEO has vanished from where he was being held and the guard posted at the door have no idea as to his whereabouts."
Smiling in a way that almost seemed unnatural the receptionist did not appear in anyway surprised or troubled by the news that Lt. Dawson had vanished while being in custody. Instead Allyson offered a piece of information that took both the CO and XO by surprise, [/\] The Admiral has been expecting you to contact him although he had figured that you would be coming to his office to see him. I will transfer your call to him right away. [/\]
Glancing at the sitting woman, the Romulan/Terran hybrid wondered what role the Admiral had played in this and why he would have acted without letting even the guard on duty know.
Returning her attention to the monitor as the face of the Admiral appeared; the XO thought that she had seen an angered expression on the man's face a split second before he spoke in a most accommodating tone. [/\] Captain Rikar, I had hoped to explain this to you before you found out but apparently I miscalculated the timeframe. Lt. Dawson is fine, but for reasons that I cannot go into at the moment his relocation was necessary. I am taking care of things for the time being, so in the meantime relax, and do not concern yourself with the whereabouts of Lt. Dawson. Koniki out. [/\]
Looking at one another following the end of the communication, both the CO and XO seemed unconvinced that the Admiral had told them everything. Of course being inside NEW ALEXANDRIA meant that neither one of them could do anything about it other than wait and see what would come out of this newest twist.
