Setting: NEW ALEXANDRIA, Section G, Level 5, Docking Port 3
Stardate: 60327.1530

Ice stood on the other side of the hermetically sealed door looking through the small round window. On her side the air was still and warm and she could hear the humming of the base. On the other side the woman resembling Enaii could only guess at the conditions David was in. The panel on the right-side of the door indicated that the air had almost completely drained. The frost that had begun to form on the ANUBIS' CEO gave a clue as to how cold it had become. The only sound that David likely heard had been the slow escape of the air counting down to his demise.

When David's eyes met Ice's after a long and difficult struggle the woman smiled. The pain reflecting in the man's eyes had been priceless and Ice wished that this moment could last. Forever. Jaycee and En had come up with this ridiculous plan to capture Richard and save David. Ice dismissed the second party of this plan, concentrating on the first. Once Richard would leave the frozen body of the CEO, Ice would capture it. What happened to David after this did not concern her. If he lived, good, someone somewhere would be happy. If he died, better, because she would be happy.

Setting: USS ANUBIS, CMO's Office
Stardate: 60327.1535

Lea sat at her desk, the PADDs that had been in front of her not having been touched for a while. The CMO looked positively lost, and her friend sitting across from her appeared just as bad. The news of David's 'relocation' had reached them. In a heartbeat this had caused both Lea and Susan to stop what they had been doing. Finding a cure for David had been important but now that David was 'missing' there had been no reason to continue.

"Why would Koniki do this?" Lea asked fighting back her tears. "Were we so close to a cure that he had to take him away?"

Susan reached over the CMO's desk and took hold of her friends hands. "There is no proof that Koniki had any malevolent intents in David's relocation. For all we know it could be that he has found a way to separate Richard from David. Time being precious the Admiral decided to act right away. NEW ALEXANDRIA does have a lot more resources than we do," Susan pointed out. The Cns had done her best to try and make things easier for her friend. Fuelling the idea that Koniki had simply wanted to dispose of David before a cure could be found would not have helped.

"Somehow I doubt that," Lea said. "The way Koniki moved forward with the court-martial tells me that he was not on David's side. I can just imagine how happy he was when he learned that David had vanished. Now he is just covering up and protecting whoever did this. Heck, for all we know it could have been Koniki himself that dragged David to who-knows-where."

"The worst thing we can do right now is to lose hope," Susan said while tapping the back of her friends hands. "As hard as it may be, we have to trust the Admiral and take him to his word. He told the captain that David was safe, and we just have to believe that he is."

Setting: NEW ALEXANDRIA, Section I
Stardate: 60327.1540

Ice returned to her sisters and tossed the small device she had been carrying in her hand to Katie. The sister caught the item with ease and looked down at it. The small flashing red light showed that something had been trapped inside.

"Well done," Katie said tightly clasping the small device in her hand. "How is David?"

"I didn't check," Ice growled in a voice that perfectly matched her name. "When that *thing* came out of him I just did as I was told. I captured it and brought it back."

"You didn't even take the time to check on David's vital signs?" Katie gasped. "What if he survived the extraction process?"

"If he did," Ice said in a sadistically way, "he is still there waiting for the angel of death to find him."

=/\= Doctor Summers, please report to Sickbay, =/\= a voice resembling that of Enaii said. The request made both Lea and Susan jump. Had they imagined it? Had it been a lousy joke from someone on staff? Just as Susan had been ready to drag her friend out of her office a loud shriek pierced the air. In the matter of a few seconds the CMO and Cns had left the office and arrived in Sickbay. There they found an hysterical nurse pointing to one of the biobeds.

Lea slowly moved closer to the bed remembering that it had been empty the last time she had checked. It took the CMO a few seconds to process the discovery she had made, but when she did Lea immediately acted. "Get a medical team with a thermal blanket in here, STAT!"

"What is it?" Susan asked from a few meters away. Getting in the way of the CMO would not have been a good idea at that moment.

"It's David! And he is frozen solid," Lea replied, no longer caring where the CEO had been. Her only thought was to do everything in her power to see that he survived.
