"Tears and Ghosts"

Setting: NEW ALEXANDRIA, Section I
Stardate: 60327.1620
En read and reread the results of her findings. The specimen brought back by Ice had been perfectly preserved but there had been one problem. The psycho-kinetic energy output had been all wrong. According to the medical file written by Doctor Summers En had expected to find much more than she had. For an entity to be able to take control of a living organism Richard needed to have been much more than she had observed him to be. Taking into account the complexity of a person such as Lt. Dawson only confirmed En's findings.
"You wanted to see me?" Ice asked coming across as being annoyed about having been called to see En. What irritated Ice even more was to have to wait for her sister to twirl her wrists 13 times before she spoke.
"Please explain to me how you captured R-I-C-H-A-R-D," En said while still looking at the results of her research. "I need you to give me every detail that you remember."
"The Engineer was on the floor," Ice said, her voice as cold as her name. "The target came out of him. I placed the containment unit against the window. The flashing light came on. I left."
En did not seem surprised or troubled by the amount of details given by Ice. Actually En had been happy as the report had provided her with what she had needed. Before explaining why she had called her sister over, En flicked her wrists once again. The Obsessive Compulsive sister carefully counted the required 13 repetitions before speaking. "You only captured part of the target. That is why the psycho-kinetic energy levels are so low. The rest of the target is likely still inside Lt. D-A-W-S-O-N."
"I have to go back!" Ice shouted making En jump back.
"Relax Ice," Elsie said, stepping in-between her two sisters. "Approaching the target will prove to be easier the second time around."
"I let him live once," Ice hissed. "I will not promise to let him live a second time."
"You will not have to concern yourself about that," Elsie said unemotionally. "The ANUBIS' EMH has just filed a log entry certifying the CEO's death." If Elsie had been happy about the news, the sister did not let it show. Then again she never let any emotions show, not that she had any to show.
Ice on the other hand was very capable of emotions, and she never hesitated to let them show. A cold yet broad smile formed on her lips as she spoke. "I'll go," Ice said making it sound as if she was going to see something she had wanted to see for all of her life.

Setting: USS ANUBIS, CMO's Office
Stardate: 60327.1630
Lea sat in her office, sobbing. Susan did her best to console her friend but the death of David had been a difficult one to accept.
I would like to be alone," Lea said. The eyes of the CMO could barely be seen behind the pools of tears. Susan's first instinct had been to deny her friend's request. But as a friend she also knew that Lea would not do anything stupid. Or at least she hoped Lea wouldn't.
"If you need anything, let me know right away," Susan said. Knowing that Sickbay had been emptied of all personnel had made the Cns a little nervous. Susan had wanted to stay or at least make sure that lea would not be alone. But Susan could also imagine that Lea wanted some time to say her personal goodbyes to David. "Promise me that you will call me the moment you need something."
"I promise," Lea said through a forced smile. Knowing that someone cared about her did seem to make things a little easier.
As soon as Susan left Lea returned to Sickbay and found it in almost complete darkness. Through the shadows the CMO could see a figure standing over the bed where David still laid. Not wanting to disturb the person she recognised as only being a woman, Lea approached quietly. Maybe Sabrina had decided to pay her last respects to David. Or maybe it had been Serenna who had wanted to say goodbye to her friend from the Academy.
Whoever it was Lea respected their wish and moved as quietly as she could. That was until she saw the face of the woman lurking over the dead body of the CEO. In a split second the tranquility of Sickbay was shattered by a blood curling scream. Lea looked to the door as it slid open and saw Nico and Susan rushing back into Sickbay. When Lea turned back to point out what she had seen to the Cns and Sec/Tac the woman had vanished.
"What is it?" The Nausicaan asked his drawn phaser ready to be put to good use.
Lea could not speak. The CMO tried in vain to explain what she had seen but her word made no sense.
"Lea," Susan said taking her friend by the shoulders. "Slow down and take a deep breath."
"I saw her! She was here! Looking at David and holding something over his body." Lea said hysterically.
"Saw *who*?" Susan asked convinced that having left Lea alone had been a very bad idea.
"Her! She was right there!"
"WHO?" Susan demanded a little more forcefully than she might have wanted to.
"ENAII!!! I saw ENAII!!!" Lea screamed before collapsing to her knees, sobbing like a child.
