Setting: USS ANUBIS, Corridor
Knowing that David had expected her to be resting in her quarters and that he would not dare to disturb her, the Romulan/Terran hybrid had decided to take the opportunity to seek out some answers to the questions her XO had raised. Accepting that the ANUBIS' CO had needed so time to deal with all that had happened had made the HATHOR's CO delay inquiring about what had happened, but now Serenna believed that enough time had passed and that the rest of the staff had been entitled to some kind of a report on the mission.
Walking down the corridors of the ANUBIS made the Romulan/Terran hybrid feel strange, almost as if she had been a stranger on the ship she still had been officially listed as XO on. Having spent so much time on the HATHOR and having endured so many trial while onboard had given the hybrid a new perspective on the requirements of command and how a ship *feels* to its CO.
Thinking that this new understanding would serve her to better understand the ANUBIS' CO and possibly give them something more in common, the Romulan/Terran hybrid carefully thought about how she would approach Rikar. Walking up to the woman and simply asking 'How is Enaii?' had not been something the HATHOR's CO had been ready to do, if not out of respect for the situation at least out of respect for the ILO whose condition had been kept under a veil of mystery. Knowing that Doctor Summers had been summoned to the ANUBIS had only served to raise more questions and speculations as to Enaii's state.
Having been informed that Capt. Rikar had been in the CNS' office by the transporter chief and having confirmed that the CO had been alone, the Romulan/Terran hybrid had decided to venture there thinking that the office would serve well as neutral ground for their meeting. Trying to understand why the CO had chosen such a strange location had only been on the hybrid's thoughts for a short period, Serenna having more important questions weighing on her mind.

Stepping into the office of the CNS, the Romulan/Terran hybrid found the ANUBIS' CO sitting at the desk where Ens. Mei usually sat, Rikar's eyes glued onto the image being displayed on the desk monitor. Approaching the visibly engulfed woman, the hybrid tried to break the tangible tension in the air with some levity. "Thinking about going back to being a CNS?"
Raising her eyes from the monitor to see the standing Romulan/Terran hybrid, the ANUBIS' CO sighed. "Not exactly, I just wanted to be as close as possible without having anyone accuse me of being underfoot. Plus being here alone in the tranquillity of this office was a nice change after all that we went through."
Not having seen the image that Rikar had been staring at, the Romulan/Terran hybrid could only guess that the monitor had been set to give as good of a view of the ILO as possible allowing the ANUBIS' CO to keep an eye on her wife while managing to keep a certain level of professionalism in the eyes of her crew.
Respecting the wishes of the woman to keep this as private as possible, the Romulan/Terran hybrid sat down without trying to confirm her suspicions as to the target of the monitor's focus. Thinking that Ens. Mei would have been the better person to be here at this time, the hybrid made the best with the situation and tried to get some answers while at the same time showing support to Rikar. "How is Enaii? We have all been thinking and concerned about her since no official news has been made about the success of our mission."
Appearing as if she had been unsure as to how to answer, the ANUBIS' CO stared at the image being displayed on the desk monitor for a little while longer before raising her eyes once more to meet the inquisitive look of the Romulan/Terran hybrid. Looking as if she had been carefully selecting her words Rikar eventually offered an answer to the hybrid sitting on the other side of the desk. "Officially the mission was a success. Enaii was brought back and her body appears to be intact despite having spent such an extended period of time as scattered atoms and energy."
Having picked up on the slight emphasis that Rikar had placed on the word *body*, the Romulan/Terran hybrid immediately gathered that the issue had been with the ILO's mind. Understanding a little better the reason why the HATHOR's CMO had been requested onboard the ANUBIS, the hybrid tried to again show support. "It may just be a question of time before things get back to normal. Enaii is a very strong willed individual, you above anyone else knows this, and I am sure that in time the effects of her having been stuck in limbo will vanish as if the entire thing had never happened."
Smiling ever so weakly the ANUBIS' CO nodded once as she displayed her acceptance and wishful agreement with what the Romulan/Terran hybrid had said.
Thinking it wise to change the focus of their conversation, at least for the time being, the Romulan/Terran hybrid decided to address another question which had plagued the thoughts of many onboard the HATHOR including herself. "We heard that a Human female was found onboard the Cardassian freighter what was attacked by the Imperians. Do we have any explanations as to how she found herself there and how she managed to escape the wrath of the Imperians?"
Looking almost pleased with the opportunity to have her thoughts be on something other than the ILO's condition the ANUBIS' CO relayed the information that they had unearthed on the woman. "Her name is Logan Hogg; she is an Ensign who took part in the Cardassian/Federation Medical Officer Exchange Program. All of her credentials and history checks out."
Imagining anyone spending such a lengthy period of time with the Cardassian made the Romulan/Terran hybrid shiver and be thankful that the Ensign had not spent this time with the Romulans instead. "It makes sense that she would have been stationed onboard a freighter so as to limit her access to classified information. This also allowed them to keep an eye on her which I am sure that was why Starfleet decided to send an *ensign*. Either way the experience she gained during her time there could prove to be invaluable to the Federation."
Nodding the ANUBIS' CO pushed a PADD that had been sitting on the desk towards the HATHOR's CO. "Admiral Koniki seems to agree with you, at least on some aspects and has already made the arrangements to have Ensign Hogg be reassigned to NEW ALEXANDRIA and the ANUBIS. He does seem to be a little more interested in her having dealt with the Imperians though."
Not thinking before speaking, the Romulan/Terran hybrid made a comment that she would immediately regret since it brought the ILO's condition back on the forefront of Rikar's thoughts. "Either way, we can always use another medical officer."
