When the lights went out Doctor Summers had asked for everyone to grad
an emergency medical kit and head out into the ship to see if they
could help. Leah had not expected there to be anything major, but
without communications the CMO had thought it wise to seek out trouble
instead of just waiting for it to be brought into Sickbay.
Counsellor Mei had asked for them to pass through her office in order
to pick up a few things that she thought might be needed. Aki had
figured that this had been nothing more than a delay tactic, not that
the assistant CMO had complained about this detour. There had been
many areas of the ship that she had yet to visit and doing so in
complete darkness had not been overly desirable.
Once inside the Cns' office it had not taken the three women long to
realise that they had become trapped and that they were the ones who
were in need of help. This became even more apparent after the ship
crashed and the three of them were bounced around the room like rag
dolls. Doctor Summers did her best to take care of all the bumps and
bruises she could but without any working instruments the CMO had not
been able to do all that had been required.
For fear that any of them might be suffering from a concussion the CMO
demanded that all three stay awake until a rescue team came for them.
To make this easier Doctor Summers and Counsellor Mei each come up
with several verbal games to play which the Assistant CMO had not
participated in all that much. This had forced Aki to repeatedly
reassure both Susan and Leah that she had been alright and that her
lack of participation had nothing to do with her physical state of being.
The truth was that Aki was terrified of the dark.
When the doors were pried open and immediately following the comment
made by Doctor Sumemrs, Aki jumped to her feet and nearly tackled the
first person through the doors who happened to be Lt. Pravat, the head
of the Marine detachment onboard the ANUBIS.
Neither the Marine nor Sec/Tac said anything, instead being simply
happy to have found all three women in relatively good shape having
suffered only minor injuries from the rough landing of the ANUBIS.
Although Doctor Summers stated that the three of them could make it to
the bridge on their own, Aki had been more than happy to accept the
offer for help from both men.
The reason for this had not been because the Assistant CMO had feared
something happening to them or that they might not be able to navigate
their way to the turbolift shaft, no the reason had been far simpler.
The men had been in possession the only source of light currently
available to them, and that had been more than enough of a reason for
Aki to accept their offer to escort them up to the bridge.

"Are you okay?" Elliot asked the moment that Aki and the others
crawled out of the turbolift shaft.
"I'm fine," Akira replied very happy to see that the bridge had been
*lit*. There had not been that much light coming from the emergency
hatch but it had been plenty as far as the Assistant CMO had been
concerned.
