Joxer
NAME: Joxer
TITLE: Joxer the Mighty (self-imposed)
OCCUPATION: ex-warrior wanna-be, Hero wanna-be
FIRST APPEARANCE: "Callisto"
BACKGROUND:
Joxer's father is a warlord, his twin-brother a rutheless assasin. Joxer possesses none of these skills. This became rather apparent in his first appearance. He tried to enlist in Callisto's army by offering his services as a warrior to her. To prove himself to her, Callisto had him attempt to kidnap Gabrielle. Needless to say, the bard beat the stuffing out of him and he failed to win Callisto's favor. However, Joxer showed his true colors after Callisto captured Gabrielle. She ordered him to slit the bard's throat, but he refused.
Since then, Joxer has occasionally aided Xena and Gabrielle during their adventures. More often than not, he ends up being rescued by the Warrior Princess in his quest to become a true hero. He is brave of heart, but often hard of head. He has also shown that he is capable of being a caring, selfless person. Joxer can annoy the Warrior Princess and Bard, but they care for him as a great friend. Joxer has come to love Gabrielle as more than a friend. After Xena and Gabrielle were thought to be dead. He married Meg. He had a son Virgil. He was later killed by Xena's daugther Livia/Eve.
Joxer's life as a kid, told by him in "Punch Line".
"It all started when I was a child. I was a happy kid at first, but then mom and dad started fighting. Dad would get tanked and take the chariot. No matter who tried to stop him. One day he lost control of it. Mom took it hard. Then she took a couple of arrows from Dad's crediters, and died."
