DIVA DOGS:  About Christina
Dogs are an important part of my life.  I have always had a deep love for all breeds of dogs and a passion for working with them.  I also have a soft spot for the "underdogs" - the rescued, unwanted, the not so pretty, the "bad breeds" - and love to show that they can be wonderful pets and breed ambassadors with a little devotion and TLC.
After graduating from the University of Lethbridge, I spent a few years in Edmonton, and most recently in Vancouver, working in the Fine Arts environment. Living in these larger communities showed me how strong the human-dog relationship can be, and the resources that are available to provide these relationships.  I volunteered with the Vancouver SPCA for a few years and loved working with, and rehabilitating, dogs that came through the system.  The majority of breeds that came through the shelter were the big, powerful breeds: Rottweilers, Shepherds, Pit Bulls.  I had hands-on contact with dogs who were victims of abuse, drug-related guard & fighting dogs, as well as the hard-to-handle pet dogs.
I decided to pursue my love of working with dogs by graduating from Western Canada's only government accredited Professional Dog Trainers Program (Victoria, BC).  After graduating, I decided to return to Lethbridge to help dog owners learn to co-exist with their dogs in a harmonious way.
I have created DIVA DOGS to help dog owners build a wonderful, and lasting, relationship with their dogs through positive obedience training.  I can help you deal with any behavioral problems, training issues, or any challenges you may face so that you and your dog can have a very rewarding and fun relationship.
