Tammy pleads with Jeffrey to drop the charges against Jonathan. Jeffrey suggests that she show her mother how good Jonathan is for her but she won't do a thing unless Jonathan is set free. Jeffrey's unconcerned when Beth and Alexandra can't find Alan anywhere. Reva argues with Cassie about her claim that she was simply being a mother when she called the police on Cassie and Jonathan. Reva defends her son and boasts that she arranged for Tammy to be together with Jonathan. Tammy interrupts and lets her mother know she's there to pick up some things she can sell to raise Jonathan's bail. Cassie won't allow it so Tammy gets even by pointing out Reva has offered her a place to stay. Before he and Dinah can have sex again, Mallet takes a call about Alan being freed and apologizes for having to leave. He runs into Harley who worries that Gus and Alan have gone to war. Alan panics when he discovers the doors to the limo locked and Gus driving him to a place where he won't be able to hurt his family. Upset when Gus fails to show for their New Year's Eve get together, Harley later finds the note Gus left for her. Wearing a sexy dress, Marina surprises Alan Michael at the Spaulding offices. Pouring herself a brandy, Marina claims she has come to her senses and will now grab whatever she wants out of life. Alan Michael lets her know that he's not available. Marina argues with him but then is embarrassed to realize that she really was a backup date for the special night. After she leaves and he sends Alexandra and Beth home, Alan Michael leaves another message for Alan to call him.
Obsessed and concerned about her missing husband, Harley runs into Mallet at Spaulding and blames him for Gus being gone. Asking her not to, he offers his help and insists he can do more than Frank can but she doesn't want it. She then asks Frank if he may know what Gus is up to and Frank worries that Gus may want to kill Alan. Harley then starts calling drug stores in the area in hopes that a man buying huge amounts of stomach antacids may be Gus. Dinah arrives and offers her help but ultimately, the two fail to find him. The next day, Harley again wonders where Gus is. When Buzz admits that he should have tried to stop Gus, he also tries to reassure Harley that Gus would not hurt Alan. Harley isn't so sure about Gus' ability to control his anger where Alan is concerned. Running into Mallet outside of Company, Harley finally asks for his help. When Alan Michael notices how distracted she is, Harley decides to put him in charge of Spaulding so that she can go looking for Gus. The following day, Harley wakes, angry with Gus for doing this to her. Stopping by the office, Harley opens up to Mallet and admits that she does have feelings for him but knows that she would never act on them. Disappointed, Mallet admits he's found a clue and learned that Gus rented a limo the day Alan was released and never returned the vehicle.
