San Sebastian its height above sea level in the midst of a mountain valley.During wet summer there is virtually no access by road. We will drive through clear mountain straems that have,over centuries,cut towering canyons deep into the rugged sierras. This beautiful,antiquated village is surrounded by pine forest dates back to 1605 and was made famouse by its plentiful silver mines. To arrive in San Sebastian is to step back in time. After breakfast on the next morning we drive to a place called Talpa de Allende,where thousends of people shill visit to pay homage to the virgin of Talpa. Continue to Quale a small idyllic mountain village and along the river, with spectacular landscape. We will stop for a cool dip in the river and for lunch in a wild romantic natural setting , before we drive back to Puerto Vallarta . After the village of Quale we will drive to the Cajon de Pena, artificial lake in the midst of the Sierra a Madre, embedded into the high mountain. If you wish we can make a boat trip and fish lovers will have an excellent meal.Overnight accomodation in a small hotel.The next morning after breakfast we leave the mountains and drive along the coast, passing dunes, deserted beaches and small bays to Tehuamixtle, a small fishermans village where we have time to snorkel or swim. After lunch we will drive 2 hr. through the jungle to Tuito,to reachthe highway and after a further hour arrive at Puerto Vallarta arrive.
