Front Row L to R: Archie, Rachel, Diana, Irene, Gloria, Maria Luisa, Cynthia, Hilda, Adelaido,
Fernando, Jack, Rick, Raul, Anastacio, Erasmo, Conrad, Bob (Class 69), Amparo, Frank, and Fio. (ya'll can guess the last name!!!)
It was an intimate affair...it was a small group but we had a wonderful time. We got to spend more time talking to each other. It was made even more special by Celia Munoz Bazziomani's letter that I read to everyone. It made the obscure, obvious...that we are blessed people; Blessed to be alive, blessed to be with each other and blessed to have this opportunity to tell each other so.

It was also made special by several people that had not attended one of our annual reunions before, Erasmo Rodriguez and his wife Martha and sister Janie, Class of 1972, Raul Vasquez, and Martha Borrego, Class of 1971 and of course Robert "Uncle Bob" Gonzalez, Class of 1969. It reminded me and affirmed our commitment to bring not only our Class of 1970 but any member from a graduating classes at Mission High School and even those that attended elementary school and didn't finish with us. We say the more the merrier!

We also shared our plans for the next four years culminating with our 40th in 2010. While that seems so far away we wanted to open ideas for our next annual reunion and for the 40th. Suggestions have been made to change the meeting date to the second half of July instead of June and also to have our 40th be a 3-day event. Invitations are out for your suggestions and ideas to celebrate this milestone. I will from time to time post information on suggestions and estimates of expenses so we can prepare and gear up for our 40th. So watch out for news on that.

On another note, I am so happy that we were able to locate several of our returned mail addresses and even some e-mail addresses. Rick Pierce, Linton Stables, Malcom Moses, Pat McPherson, Larry Schafer, Sharon Jeters and Carla Aldridge Bennett were among the few I've been able to get in touch with. I have also attempted contact with Bill Lyles, Sharon Duncan and Manuel Avila and hope to hear from them soon. Please if you know the whereabouts of any of our classmates, please forward my e-mail address and ask that they make contact. We want to make our 40th a "BIG" class reunion and want to contact as many of our classmates as possible. Remember, we are missing contact information for approximately 179 out of our class of 286 classmates.

Also, With funds from several classmates that contributed generously to our reunion we were able to use it for food expenses. We hope to continue with our annual summer reunions in order to continue updating missing classmates. We'd love to see ya'll's smiling faces. Come appreciate life by coming to celebrate with us at our annual reunions.

A hearfelt thank you to all that donated last year and a special thank you to Archie and Terry Acevedo for making their home available yet again.

Well on to the next best thing...the photos....enjoy!!

Well, that's it for this year...See you 2007!!!
