Personality:	When Rena' showed up and quickly usurped Upuin's throne, there was quite the upset. Most of the hivemembers did not see the small, highly edible Rena as a worthy leader, but she wisely appealed to their natural xeno instinct to follow the queen over some wishy-washy warrior. As it turns out, Rena merely wanted to assert herself as the queen and doesn't really care for any of the daily rigors of controlling the hive that Upuin endured. So as long as all of the little hivelings refer to her as their queen, they're allowed to go about business as usual.

Though she is generally lazy and loath to do more than lounge in a geothermically-heated pool all day, she governs her hive with an iron claw. She was allowed to settle near the weyr under the condition that she keep all members of her hive under control, and adheres strongly to these conditions.

Upuin spoils him mercilessly because she cares for him too, and thus far her lavishing of attention has kept the worst of his desire to rape and pillage at bay.
