| MEETING DETAILS Currently the group rotates between various local restaurants. The group chair selects the location. Guests order from the menu whatever they would like to eat. Often alcoholic drinks are enjoyed beforehand. Presently the group averages between 15 and 20 attending. During the winter months the attendance may go to 25. The chair provides name tags for everyone. We meet at 5:15 PM the last Wednesday of the month. The name of the restaurant is supplied when the women call the chair to make a reservation. After dinner the women who wish to go to a movie, do so. WHAT HAPPENS There are usually lively conversations all through dinner. Information about the various movies that are currently out, along with dislikes and likes, is bantered across the table. It is unusual that everyone will go to the same movie. More likely the women will break into three or four groups. It is mutually agreed seats will be saved for whoever is coming. Usually, everyone attending that specific movie sits together. This is a fun group that enjoys trying new restaurants and seeing a movie. However, if you would just like to come for dinner, please join us. Sometimes the movie choices are not all we had hoped they would be, so some of us enjoy each others company for dinner, and then head on home for an early evening. HISTORY Girls Night Out was started about three years ago. The thought was to provide an opportunity for women to get together over dinner, and then go to a movie. The first two years the group met at Scaldoni's. There was a fixed menu with three food options and a set price. If this sounds appealing to you, contact Elaine Landell and come join in the fun! |
