New car that Ford was killed in. Warren talked to the guy that was with him in the crash. He said that a car ran though a blind corner,and he knew that Ford was dead because Ford hit the gear shift, and went through the floor board. When they told his mother, she was hysterical and the Dr gave her a seditive.
Her husband had died when Warren's dad was only six months old, and she had raised all the kids by herself.
Freida, was about 10 years old, and took care of the rest of the kids, while the mother worked. Olive was a practical nurse, and worked really hard to keep the family together. Warren's dad said that they were hungry many times, so after he had his own family, they always had lots of food, even when they had nothing else. Warren's family lived with out electricity and indoor plumbing until he went away to college.
