Carol from Massachusetts was my October 2003 penpal. She is an October baby just like me so we had a chance to celebrate our birthdays together. Her anniversary is in November (so is mine). Carol stayed very busy as the WWB PenPal Committee Leader and is doing an excellent job. We found common ground during the month with our youngest children and the challenges of being a teenager. "Triskaidekaphobia" was our word challenge for the month and we did quite well with it.

The government job where I work decided to send me TDY to San Antonio for a week this month so I was unable to have a penpal. My darling husband, Harvey, and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary by taking a Carnival Cruise to the Western Carribean for 10 days. What fun! We had a glorious time and are already planning our next cruise. I missed sharing and getting to know a new penpal.
Because our cruise did not end until the first of December, I missed out on signing up for a penpal in December also.
Ressa is my January 2004 penpal. She lives in Georgia just a short drive up the road from where I live. I have enjoyed helping her to learn to make tags and work in PSP. She is hooked on PSP now and even ventured on her own and made her first desktop. I am so proud of her. Ressa is the mother of my April 2003 penpal, Shawna. Ressa loves teddy bears. We lost touch the middle of the month due to some problems Ressa encountered. I didn't get to know her as well as I would have liked, but we had a fun couple of weeks of sharing.
