| Tuesday 1st Another day of studying Japanese also went on the computer at school fro a little while. After school had lunch with friends and then went home. Wednesday 2nd Studied Japanese after school spent some time with Ruji then I had Rotary and did a short speech it went well. Thursday 3rd Japanese Japanese Japanese after school went to Kumagaya to meet with some of the other inbound students. First Ruji and I went to karaoke then we meet Talita (Brazilian exchange student) and took Purikura then off to karaoke again and Taylor meet us there. Then Ruji and I had to leave to go to our weekly Japanese lesson. Friday 4th Last day of tests for everyone and last day of Shannon teaching me Japanese. It was also a short day, After school I meet Ruji and two of her friends and we sat down in Mr Donuts for about 3hrs talking, It was great. Saturday 5th Today I went to school well not school school but a performance about war and the Peace keeping Association. It was interesting even though I didnft understand all of it. Sunday 6th Today went to Kumagaya with Yuumi. We went shopping for a while and then went to my host grandmotherfs house for tea because it was her birthday. Yuumi and I had a great day together. Monday 7th At school today went to a University in Tokyo to have a look it was quite interesting. Tuesday 8th School, After I had Japanese Calligraphy club and for the first worked on a long sheet of paper. Wednesday 9th Another day of School. After I went to the Kyuudo club first time in a long time. I had a good time even though I didnft get to go much. When I got home went to the temple near by for my Japanese Calligraphy class with all the little kids again. Thursday 10th School, after Kyuudo again then off to my Weekly Japanese class with Ruji. It was great we did this thing were we write down our wishes and tie them to a tree branch. We also all sang a song and got on TV. Friday 11th Today woke up late because my host mum thought I had holidays but no I didnft later on my school rang up so my host mum drove me to school. She had to drive past anyway so it wasnft a problem. School was Ok I had to do a short speech in front of my art class about a symbol I made and which of the others I liked. It was good. After school went to the English club and we made hamburgers. When we were finished I walked to the station with a school friend, we both didnft want to wait for the bus, after we thought the bus might have been I better idea though because it was real hot. When I got to the station I went to Honjo to meet Ruji I went to her new host house, which surprisingly has a elevator. Then we went to Fukayafs Festival we had a good time looking around. Saw some guys dancing like in Grease the movie and they had there hair the same too it was pretty funny. Also all these guys walked passed Ruji and I shouting TATu! (the band) which was even funnier. There were lots of stalls and the street was beautifully decorated. Saturday 12th My host mum brought me a Yukata the summer version of a Kimono. After I went to Honjofs festival with Ruji we both dressed up in our Yukatafs. The festival was interesting because they have these temples with groups of people carry around and they have a cart with beer in it that follows each one so after a while all the people carrying these heave temples are all drunk. The temples were very beautiful. Sunday 13th I canft remember what I did so it probably wasnft anything exciting. Monday 14th Today went shopping with my Host Mum and Host Grandmother in Kumagaya we had lunch at a lovely restaurant it was a really busy day. Tuesday 15th Stayed home. Latter on went shopping with my Host Mum and Yuumi. Wednesday 16th Again didnft do much in the morning. But after I went to Japanese Calligraphy with all the little kids again. Thursday 17th Had a good time with my host sister Yuumi since she didnft go to her tennis club today. Friday 18th I went shopping in the day and then at night meet up with Ruji and went to her ALTfS (Assistant Language Teachers) Party it was great fun we meet a lot of other ALTfS my ALT was there too. After having dinner we all went to Karaoke and had a great time singing. Ruji then stayed the night at my house. We got home late. Saturday 19th Ruji and I woke up late then my host mum drove her home I went for the drive. After My host mum, Yuumi and I went shopping. After I went to Taylorfs going away party it was great fun we talked ate food and sang Karaoke. Sunday 20th Went to a Japanese Lesson in Kumagaya. Then had lunch with some people from the lesson, made good friends with two Canadian girls. After looked at some of the festival there really wasnft much happening though, because it starts tomorrow. |
