| Sunday 1st Today I went to a big Kendo competition to watch, it was very interesting. I got to see my first host father, which was good. A different rotary club held it so there were many rotary members there that came up and talked to me. It was great to watch the kendo competition and I kind of understand the rules a bit more now. Monday 2nd Back to a normal day of school it was a great day. Today was my first day to wear my summer uniform the weather was beautiful. But Ifm not looking forward to the middle of summer Ifve heard it can get pretty Yuk here. Ifm glade I am at a private school so it has air conditioning, most of the public schools here donft have any air conditioning. So at least my classroom will always be cool. Tuesday3rd Just an ordinary day of school, we had practice for the school sports day thatfs on the weekend. After school I did Japanese calligraphy. Wednesday 4th Today I had a lesson with Shannon (assistant English teacher) but other than that I didnft do much at school. I had Rotary after school and Dionne had her going away speech. Ifm really going to miss her. Thursday 5th School again, practiced a bit more for the sports day. After school I went to the English club for the first time. It was fun there was about 8/10 girls all very nice. We watched eBridget Jones Diaryf it was a great movie. After I caught the train home with some new friends from the English club. Once I got home Ayaka and I went to the temple for Japanese calligraphy lessons. Friday 6th Today I had Art my favorite and then afterwards the whole school had a practice for tomorrowfs sports day opening ceremony. After I went and studied Japanese with Ruji for a little while. Saturday 7th Went to school today for the school sports day. It was lots of fun. REPORT SOON TO COME After I went to Rujifs friends house for a sleepover. We stayed up all night it was great fun. Sunday 8th It was heaps of fun. The next day Ruji and I went home together we had lunch on the way home and then we both slept at here host house for 3 or 4 hours. When I got home I didnft do much before going to bed. Monday 9th Just school in PE I played soccer. Went home after school and didnft do much. Tuesday 10th Just another day of school. After school I meet Dionne on the train and she came to my house for a little while. Once she left I got ready to go to Kumagaya with Dionne and Ruji to meet all the other exchange students. After we all meet up we went to karaoke together. After Karaoke we caught the bus to Ashleyfs house at her house we danced, watched Ani-matrics and mucked about until about 3 Ofclock in the morning (we actually went to sleep!) Wednesday 11th We all woke up fairly early in the morning and caught the bus at 8:00am. It was about a 2 and a half hour drive to the onsen. It was great we had a lovely lunch and bathed in the onsen. After we visited a waterfall that I had been to before it was very interesting because this time it had hardly any water, the time I went before there was so much water it was quite scary. Once we were back in Kumagaya Dionne, Taylor, Ashley and I went to see the Matrix 2 it was a great movie. I got home at 10:30 and soon after went to sleep. Thursday 12th Just another day of school, after school I went to the schoolfs English club and we all played ethe game of lifef it was lots of fun. After I went to the Japanese calligraphy class that I have been going to for a while now it was also good. Friday 13th Today I had art at school my favorite lesson. After school I went to Honjo to study some Japanese with Ruji. When I got home I played shogi with my host brother and I won, then we played again and I lost. Saturday 14th Today in my free time I made a model kangaroo out of paper clay stuff. It turned out quite well. After I went shopping with my host mum and Yuumi, It was good fun. When I got home I meet one of Satoshifs (host brotherfs) friends, he also played a game of shogi with me and was quite shocked when I won. My host father was really surprised and asked them why they lost when theyfre Japanese and itfs a Japanese game. I really like the game itfs a bit like chess but defiantly harder. Then we all played Uno together including Yuumi, it was great. After playing the games it was pretty late. Sunday 15th Today I woke up late and got ready for Dionnefs going away party and birthday party since her birthday was today and shefs leaving soon. It was great everyone got up dancing it was so much fun. After nearly everyone went to a Brazilian karaoke bar and got up and sang. We were there for quite a while, It was a great day. I hope to be able to the same sort of thing when I leave. Monday 16th Today school, after I went home and finished of something I had to for art. Tuesday 17th School again, after school Dionne, Ruji and I spent some time together since it was the last time all three of us could get together, We had a great time. Wednesday 18th 5 months almost half way, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! School, after I had Japanese calligraphy at the temple. I cant go on Thursdayfs anymore because Ifm busy, so now Ifm going to go on Wednesdayfs it was great fun because I was with 8 and 9 year olds that were very surprised when I walked in and all wanted to talk to me. It was lots more fun. |
