| TRIP TO KYOTO |

| Today I woke up early to go to Kyoto with my host family. It took us about 4hrs to get there by car. Going around and through mountains. Some tunnels we went through were really long one was about 10km |
| When we got to Kyoto we looked at a group of temples called Heianjigu they were very beautiful and painted brightly |
| DAY P@Thursday the 24th of July |
| Heianjingu Shien consists of four gardens south, west, middle and east around the main shrine buildings. With a total area of approx 33,000 square meters. |
| After we went to Gingakuji meaning silver temple. The temple itself wasnft what I found interesting though it was the sand garden near it. There were people there repairing it because of the rain. It was made to look like the sea and Mt Fuji. It was very interesting. |
| Near by we saw these little carts that people carry people around in. I had herd about it once before but it surprised me that they still do it. |
| Then to our Hotel we all went and had a bath and then dinner, at dinner we all ate a lot of crab. Soon after tea we all went to bed. Ayaka, Yuumi and I in a room together it was great fun. |
