Installation: DIY Alky Injection
LEFT: This is a shot of the battery tray on the passenger side fender-well. If you look closely, you can see the two nuts and washers used to hold the fuel pump in place directly under the battery tray. They are in-between the light bulb shaped provision in the battery tray, out of sight. |

RIGHT: This is the trial run of the pump mounting. I ended up having to move it about 1" to the left in the picture, or closer to the passenger side of the car. As you can see, I used some 2 1/4" hose, about 6" long to insulate the pump from grounding, then used an exhaust clamp to secure it to the passenger side inner-fender. You can also see the bottom of the new coolant reservior and the hose. Ignore the coolant drip, I didnt have it clamped yet so it leaked a little.
LEFT: Here is a close-up of the pump mount and where the feed line runs up through the bottom of the core support. I put some wire loom around the part that went through the frame to prevent possible problems. Notice the 1/4" hose clamp on the pump inlet. I now have two on there just for piece of mind.
RIGHT: Even though this is a blurry picture, you can see the new coolant reservior mounted to the core support on the passenger side in front of the the battery. I had to drill one hole to mount it, and of course, I used zipties. Works just fine for me. And unless you look down in front of the core support, behind the headlights, you cant see it.
