An Arizona native since 1987, DJ Lysa D. was introduced into the 'club scene' and began "shaymlesse productionz" in 1996.  Her first appearance was at a sports bar called Butch O'Leary's (Mesa, AZ) where she became the resident DJ, and later on that year signed with manager/promoter, Alex Lucca (Los Angeles), where she developed an appreciative following and became well-known to the Phoenix scene.  Her music style includes:  House (dizco/funky/deep), Funky Tech-house, Ol' Skool, some Breaks, and sometimes HipHop/R&B as she is versatile with any genre but chooses HOUSE, as her 'arsenal' of choice.

With the moniker "Diva of Jamz", Lysa has grooved many dancefloors ranging from capacities of 200 to 1000.  She currently has a monthly residency at Serena's in New York, and would like to obtain many more residencies throughout the US.  Past residencies in the Phoenix area include: Club Eclipse, Club 2030/the Underground, Mystique, Mondo A Gogo, The Cage, and Zazoo.  Guest spots include: The Pyramid (Albuquerque, NM), Tribeca, 411, and Club Deja Groove to name a few.  She's received booking inquiries from Las Vegas, Montana, Chicago, Peru, and even Lithuania.

Lysa has also produced/co-produced and promoted such events as "illmatic" and "Sundays in the Park" with DJs Philly Flash and Shakey Jake.  She's also written, produced, and performed various radio commercials on Power 92 FM, KOAZ, KZZP 104.7FM, and 103.9 FM "AZs party station" where she was also a part-time producer for Kid Frost ("La Raza").

DJ Lysa D. was the first female to perform LIVE on Q-104.7fm (Ventura, CA) with AmFm Alexander, Larry Linx, and Artie the One Man Party.  In the summer of 1997, she was a featured guest DJ at "Chicago Strikes Back" (Celebrity Theater - Phoenix, AZ) performing with the likes of Bad Boy Bill, Bobby D., Rick Garcia, Alex Peace, Amfm Alexander, and DJ Downtown.  While attending the Winter Music Conference 2000 (first time), she got the opportunity to spin LIVE at "The WOMB.com" with PQM and DJ Jaycee.

Taking time off for almost 2 yrs, she decided to get back into her DJn and soon became interested in ALL aspects of production, remixing, and even singing.  In March 2001, she again attended the WMC and had the opportunity to spin at "Sound Ritual" at RED nightclub in South Beach, FL (feat. Cleptomaniacs, Oscar Pooche, DJ Jaycee, etc.).  She also expanded her background in the music biz by becoming a freelance writer for VybeMuzik.com and becoming a national promoter for Astralwerks Records.

Lysa, with her current manager, Serena Calo (Newlite Muzik, Inc. - NY) looks forward to a promising future in music.  She recently has plans to collaborate with other DJ/producers nationwide such as DJ Ernan of Housekilla Productions (Sacramento, CA) and DJ Stat of Liquid Vinyl / Demeantedd Grooves (Chicago, IL) just to name a few.

With the overwhelming response of her first mix CD "miXellaneous" (March 2000) fans were anxiously awaiting her next mix CD release titled, "DizcoFunkD'licious" which since it's release this May of 2001, has also had fans wanting more!  She recently produced 3 tracks, set to release in September 2001 ("If You Do...", "Cuz It's In You", and "AM Groove") independently or on her NEW label, "miXellaneous Records" which is a division of HuggerMugger Entertainment (with co-owner, DJ Megatron of Los Angeles - pending).  Lysa's goals include working with some of the biggest names in music (DJs & producers), hopes to DJ in Ibiza, and just plans to keep us groovin' with her music!
