the phenomenal staff at the Chamber and the great
folks behind Secret Room who generously allowed me the
chance to have a blast on my birthday and kick off the
Spider Road Show 2003. I saw Das Ich on the 13th here
in Charlotte, where they kicked major booty! Um,
still not quite sure what happened in ATL, but what
would a g/i night be without drama? Suffice to say,
Das Ich (well, 2/3rds of them) finally made it to the
stage around 1am, and tried to redeem some of the
chaos and confusion that had built since they were
supposed to be on stage around 12ish (poor Fermi --
"OK, they'll be on after the next song...<30 seconds
before the end of the song> Um, can you play another
one, still not ready..." -- he's a trooper!)
