Return to Worst Witch Index.
The Harry Potter and Other Great Books Page
Other books similar in style to the Worst Witch include the Harry Potter series, the Ms Wiz series and Which Witch? Probably the best known, the Harry Potter books are also the closest in style, also being set in a school (though for witches and wizards). I've only read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Sorcerer's Stone in the US, for some bizarre reason!), but, wow, it was excellent!
The Ms Wiz books by Terence Blacker are aimed at a slightly younger audience but are still pretty funny in their own right. They involve a witch, or, rather, a paranormal operative, who becomes a teacher at a mundane school and the subsequent occurrences.
Which Witch? has a slightly darker and more 'realistic' approach to witchcraft but still provides a very funny read!

The cover of the first Harry Potter Book.
Personally I prefer the version with the photo of a steam train on it as the darker cover is truer to the story than this version. However, I just love the juxtaposition of the steam train next to a modern express!
