Master = Copied directly off laserdisc.
1st Generation = Copied off Master tape.
2nd Generation = Copied off 1st Generation tape.
Nth Generation = Copied off (N-1) Generation tape.

Excellent - Laser perfect; lines are extremely sharp, crisp, and clear.
Very Good - Cable broadcast quality.
Good - TV broadcast quality.
Okay - Average quality.
Only Watchable - Blurred lines and color bleeds, subtitles barely readable.
