'Marion Shelby Bledsoe, Rt. 1, Roxton, died at Baylor Hospital, Dallas, Tuesday, 25 Oct 1988, at 12:44 p.m. Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, 27 Oct, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Martin W. Carrie officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Bledsoe was born 31 May 1913, in Roxton, a son of M.S. and Gertrude Shelton Bledsoe. He attended Roxton and Howland schools and Texas A&M University. On 24 Aug 1937, he married Helen Johnson of Petty. In 1967, he won the Soil Conservation Award for Lamar County and was a Good Steward of the Soil for many years. He was a member of the Howland Baptist Church, the Farm Bureau, the Cattlemen's Association and was a member of the Farmer's Union. He had been a farmer and rancher all his life, and for many years he ginned the first bale of cotton in Lamar County. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Nancy B. Fearnow of El Paso and Marian B. Turbeville of Bedford; three grandchildren, Jennifer Rodgers of El Paso, Jason Turbeville of Bedford and Justin Turbeville of Bedford; and three sisters, Mrs. Harry Wooldridge of Garland, Ruth Jones of Roxton and Frances Morton of Tallulah, La.' *On the same stone with Helen Johnson Bledsoe.

Moree, 20 of 2345 Crescent Drive, the former Miss Beverly Kay Brazeal of Paris, died Friday about 4 p.m. in Parkland Hospital Dallas, where she had been a patient a few days. Daughter of Joe Bob Brazeal and the former Louise Breckeen, she was born here, 16 May 1950, and was married to Larry Moree in Paris, 13 Jun 1968. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. Friends will be received between 7:30 and 9 p.m. Sunday at Leverett and Steele Funeral Home, where service was held Monday at 2 p.m., burial to be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Surviving besides her husband and her parents are an infant son, Tab Wayland Moree, and three brothers: Bob Brazeal, Dallas, and David and Buddy Brazeal, Paris; also three grandparents, Mrs. C.L. Brazeal, Paris, and Mrs. Genie Breckeen and Lem Breckeen, both of Dallas.' *Buried next to Louis E. Walden.
