Dacă Dumnezeu e pentru noi, cine-i împotriva noastră? El, Care pe Însuşi Fiul Său nu L-a cruţat, ci L-a dat morţii pentru noi toţi, cum oare nu ni le va dărui pe toate împreună cu El? Cine va aduce pâră împotriva aleşilor lui Dumnezeu? Dumnezeu este Cel Ce aduce îndreptăţire; cine este cel ce osândeşte?: oare Hristos, El, Cel Ce a murit, ba mai degraba Cel Care a înviat, Cel Ce şi este de-a dreapta lui Dumnezeu, Cel Ce şi mijloceşte pentru noi?!… Cine ne va despărţi de iubirea lui Hristos?: Oare necazul? sau strâmtorarea? sau prigoana? sau foametea? sau golătatea? sau primejdia? sau sabia?! Precum este scris: De dragul Tău suntem omorâţi toată ziua, socotiţi am fost ca nişte oi de'njunghiere. Dar în toate acestea noi suntem mai mult decat biruitori prin Acela Care ne-a iubit. Fiindcă sunt încredinţat că nici moartea, nici viaţa, nici îngerii, nici stăpânirile, nici cele de acum, nici cele viitoare, nici puterile, nici înălţimea, nici adâncul si nici o altă făptură nu va putea sa ne despartă de iubirea lui Dumnezeu cea întru Hristos Iisus, Domnul nostru. If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all - how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns?
