BRIEF HISTORY

The word Batad is a hiligaynon term for a sundial shell, which is abundant in several Philippine shores including Embarcadero a Barangay of Batad located along the seashore that was originally called "Dulangan". The name of Batad is derived from this small and beautiful sundial shell "BATA".
