I was told that I'll be receiving
my free CD in the mail which has the ISP software. So, the CD is in
the mail. I'll let you know if I got my CD. They claim they have
many free CDs available to all those who request it. Check the CEO's
message from the Memorial Day Weekend.
Happy Memorial day
everyone.
I hope you all have read the news about our .1web
rollout.
I see Ebay is charging for more features as well as
getting rid of most links to other sites.
As I have stated
before, we welcome links.
We also do not believe in charging
for every single feature.
On the contrary, we will be giving
you free things you can use like free I.S.P, banners, shopping carts
etc.
We will soon be mailing out 50 million yes thats right
50 MILLION C.Ds, with the operating system, free I.S.P and BidBar on
them.
Put your items on now and get ready.
Also dont
forget to create a free website and add it to the marketplace.
Come to instant help if you have any questions.
Starting today, our assault to #1 begins.
I thank
all of you for helping us get this far and you will truly be
rewarded.
Thank you for all of your support. Bob

Checked the address, 1761 E.
College Parkway, Carson City, Nevada, on Yahoo Maps. Western Nevada
Community College is located on WEST College Parkway, about 3 miles
away. University of Nevada at Reno is about 20 miles away.
The address appears to be located about 150 feet from the
airport. I have no idea what that means except it sure would come in
handy if the owner had to get out of town in a hurry, LOL.
PS: I didn't call the
number listed in the domain registration, but according to
Metacrawler Reverse Search, that phone number belongs to the County
Voter Registration Information.

I never received my CD. I don't
think they are legit. I haven't heard or read of anyone being able
to get free internet from them. It is another false promise.

probably not some college
student:
they are here ranked as the no2 auction site
(second to ebay) http://topnine.com/auctions_shopping/auctions/general_auctions.html
elsewhere the neilson ratings (old, from may 2001)somewhat
agree (big pdf): http://mba.vanderbilt.edu/David.Dilts/talks/brazil_2001%20June.pdf
but note the "time average online column"
.................... unique visitors ...average time online
ebay: ........... 14.23mil ........... 1:48:50 lowestbids:
... 5.04mil ..............0:01:27
In terms of time spent at
the site lowestbids may not be so hot after all, probably most of
those hits are popups and banner clickthroughs
Is this the
only way they make money: http://www.lowestbids.com/bh/feeSchedule.asp?UserID=
========================== Bold Text Option
$0.25 Featured
Auctions Listing $3.00
Banner Advertising (LowestBids.com) ....$.003 per banner
(1000 banner minimum) Banner Advertising (other websites)
.....$.01 per banner(1000 banner minimum)
============================== The fisp would probably make
its users watch a bunch of these banners. Hardly enough to support a
fisp i would think
I would guess its all just a ploy to
drive up traffic, but they don't actually plan on rolling out the
fisp.
lol@ CATGR's email: ================== We
will soon be mailing out 50 million yes thats right 50 MILLION C.Ds,
with the operating system, free I.S.P and BidBar on them.
================== operating system!!! Oh good now I don't
have to buy winXP Or has it come to the point where fisp's don't
just want to install spyware but also want you to run their custom
OS.
edit: 50million cds? this must represent an aol
style mass mailing. Likely not at all a representation of the
number of signups they had. There's no way they could go from
5-7mil hits to 50million unique signups over however long have they
been offering this.
Isn't the population of the US something
on the order of 300million? | |

I just got this e-mail. So much
for their FISP! Not only is it not really what they promised all
those months ago, but they lie about it being "the worlds most
inexpensive Unlimited Internet Access" and "the lowest priced
Unlimited Internet access in the nation."
