summer 2002

08.25.02
sadly, today is my very, last day of summer which was composed of approximately 3 months of just non-stop chilling (except for that whole "work" part) and it seems that the more 'popular' thing to do in summarizing how one's summer went, it would be written up as a long list of the pro's and con's. so here's....

THIS SUMMER'S LIST OF GOOD AND BAD STUFF

good: chilling w/ da niggaz, swimming, lake pleasant, youth camp, july 4th, china doll (haha), makin some benjamins, applebees, minority report, eating out, golfland, all-day visit to dobson, CALI!!!, graduation, kung pow, graduation night ^_^ , road to perdition, random parties/semi-parties, todai, china (part of it), sunshine, rufio concert, meeting new ppl, getting enough sleep almost every night, super slacker job at srp

bad: working so much, still driving ghetto car, random disputes, archives at work, losing aim at work, short-term loss of a/c

so all in all, this summer's good outweighed the bad and in the end it truly was one great summer. *bleh* could i think of anything cheesier?

OMG! i think i found a car i can feasibly afford!!! DOOD!!!! $4900 and i can get a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse gsx with 108K mi!!!! ahhh!!!! CLICK TO SEE!!!! as u can tell i'm too excited haha, but sadly i doubt that i'd get the car cuz:

1. still got da ghetto corolla which means that we still have to pay insurance for it, but the thing is that no one will be driving it right now cuz my sister doesn't start driving till the end of next year. so it's like paying insurance for nothing which is a waste of money and my parents hate that.
2. i'm just a tad bit short on cash and insurance on that car won't exactly be the cheapest thing in the world. oh well. all-wheel-drive and a turbocharged engine! yeah! plus, put some big ol' wheels/rims on that and it'll look pretty nice.

oOo i finally got around to getting more cologne again, but this time i or should i say, someone else didn't "FIND" it. hehe.

yay! today i got my a/c fixed! haha and i thought my dad was too busy to do it today. well, it turns out that even though his friend couldn't come over to help, my dad installed all the a/c parts last night and finished it up by going over to his friend's this afternoon after a funeral he went to. when i got home tonight, i had just gotten home as well and i was heading inside when he drove up, popped open the door, and said, "come in." i thought i was in some BIG trouble cuz he sounded so serious. however, when i got in the a/c was ice cold and he was like, "i fixed it today." heheheh i'm happy again. too bad skool's starting now. man, cuz if it wasn't then i would've been on top of the world.

1 more day.......

08.23.02
ya know how i said that i would NEVER put any sort of mods on the corolla since it's soooo not worth it? well, i thought wrong! you may not believe it, but i just recently installed a body kit on my ghetto ride. since i was fixing the a/c on the car, i figured (in the down-time) that i might as well do other stuff to it as well. i ordered the body kit a couple weeks back and i just got it last weekend, but i tried to keep it *hush hush* anyways, yesterday i just got it back from the body shop and boy is this thing HOT! don't believe me? here are some pics to prove it!

08.22.02
in search of entertainment today, as i lacked a 'certain' program that i usually use to keep me busy, i checked out ebay's auto section and what to do i find? see for yourself => click! trust me, your jaw will drop like mine's did.

as everyone knows, i must be one of the biggest procrastinators in the world. so as you sit there and think to yourself as to why i deserve that title, let me tell you about what i did earlier today. last night i finally decided that today was the day to get my parking permit for next semester so in my attempt to wake up early by sleeping early, i get to bed around 1 and wake up at about...say 9. at this point i figure that i DO still have enough time to get in before noon. so i go for a quick jog at pueblo jr high's track and then come back to shower, eat, etc. well, then i figure that i still needed more info about skool so i get online and check out the website for about a little under an hour. by this time it's about 11 and i'm getting kinda antsy about the time. get everything done and leave the house in a big hurry. as i'm on my way there, price freeway wasn't bad. there was no traffic and it was flowing like it normally does, but as soon as i hit the asu area it's just car after car after light and so on. when i finally arrived outside the parking and transit office, i start to look for parking which was quite sparse in the area. i eventually found a little lot about half a block away, but i had to pay for it. oh well. by the time i park the car and get to the office it's noon which means i have to get to work in an hour. the only problem with this is that there was a line of ppl also waiting to get their parking decals. 40 min later i was out the door with my prized parking decal in hand, ready to tackle what next semester had to throw at me...well, parking wise. so i got the lot i came for, not the one i wanted, but i can't have everything and at least i figured out now i'm NOT the biggest procrastinator in the whole wide world cuz there were ppl behind me in line! YAY! hahaha ne wayz at this point i had only 20 min to get to work, but luckily srp is just north of the asu area so i was in about 10-15 min early. wow! early for once! i'm so proud of myself hehe, but it's getting near my time to leave so yeah i'm done for today. late.

08.21.02
okay so this is one of those times where my potty mouth would most likely come back again, but i think it's better i contain myself. so i get into work today and sign on the computer as usual, open up all the programs i usually do, and sit back & wait for them to all start up. well, i noticed that one program (http-tunnel) wasn't connecting so i took a look at the connection log and lo and behold it wasn't connecting to the external server cuz it was being blocked by srp! do you know what that means? no more AIM, kazaa, etc. ::sigh:: what a bad day. no more talking to ppl online at work when i'm bored and don't wanna work. how ghey, stupid srp. why does "the man" always have to "oppress" a "colored" brother? so i guess now there's one less thing i enjoy about work. basically, from now on all i do it for is the money. not for my co-workers, my company, and anything they're striving to achieve, goals, etc. because frankly, i could careless. this boring drivel they refer to as "work" is not only simplistic, but it also has little bearing as to what i'll be doing in the future. ~oi first chance i get, i'm outta this dump. so to sum it all up, srp has made it onto my list of stuff i don't like. No. 1) geocities for their ghey bandwidth limit, and No. 2) srp for making this work experience well.....like i said earlier, no potty mouth so instead you, srp. ^_^ or to be more specific, the computer tech guys who decided to screw me over, bastard guys.

this is gay, i think i'm just gonna leave early today....

08.19.02
::sigh:: all weekend, what have i been doing online? going through autotrader, yahoo auto's, and cars.com and why is it you ask? cuz my car sux balls. i now officially despise it. so let me present a summary of what i think:

1994 Toyota Corolla

1. Engine - 1.6L 4-cyl engine, 106hp and 105 ft/lb torque: soooooo amazingly SLOW!!!! plus, it's front wheel drive and automatic which doesn't make it any better. so it's like 0-60mph in what feels like 10 hours as opposed to 10 seconds.
2. Looks - just an average looking car, but that plastic plate on the back of the car looks cheap as hell. it's green, but it's not like it's horrible. the interior is just *bleh* normal cloth seats. gauges are plain, but i don't even have a tachometer, but what could you expect out of a bottom-of-the-line car? then it's a 4-door, which is kinda iffy. more of a convenience than anything else. wheels aren't alloys, just the ghetto hub-cap deal. as long as i don't loose the cap i guess i'll live.
3. Features - a/c broke! grrr....also, speakers are ghetto, radio is so-so, have to use a car kit for cd player, no power windows/locks.
4. Handling - body rolls like a mofo on turns. suspension is mucho soft, but i guess that makes the ride quality a little more comfortable.
5. Comments - stupid thing roasted my good cd player cuz i left it in the car! now i have to let the ghetto cd player sit in my lap cuz it doesn't have any skip-protection. it's very hot right now due to a lack of a/c which makes me quite angry and as an unwanted result, i'm missing out on lake pleasant this weekend.

so i guess since i've been complaining about it so much, that there aren't anythings i like about. well, i got a couple....wait one. it gets me where i need to go and that's it. neither in a fun or stylish manner. it just goes. what a boring car! well, one day i'll have something i like cuz to me, getting a car is like...umm...what can i compare it to? oh! girls! haha, yes cars are like girls. see as a guy, i don't want any ol' girl. i want someone special. why settle for anything, but the best? see! that's how i feel about cars! i don't want some average, run-of-the-mill, ghetto hoopty. i want a fast and good looking car! hmm well maybe that was kind've a dumb comparison, but i can't think of anything better as of now. so yes, when i'm rich, famous, and powerful i will have any car i want. muahahahahaha! okay maybe just rich....ummm...moderately rich....semi-rich....kinda rich...okay fine maybe when i get enough money to buy a car i like.

yay! i found out i shouldn't get my books now, but to wait until after i find out what the classes are like so i don't end up buying a book for full-price only to return it to get a couple bucks back. so now, all i need to work on is a parking space, but i'll still get crappy lot 59. oh well!

6 more days.....

08.15.02
this is quite rare and most desirable, a 1994 toyota supra twin-turbo with only 69k mi for under $20k!! ::bleh:: sux cuz i don't have any money. all i can do is just sit back and watch someone else buy it and enjoy it. *sigh*

i've been playing wayyyy too much donkey kong 64 ^_^

i finally finished watching 'my sassy girl' and man, that is one of the best movies i've seen in a while. hehe i'm such a softie for this mush so yeah if you wanna borrow it, just lemme know.

sadly, i've heard mixed reviews about "xXx" even though the previews looked badass. ai yah previews are so misleading, they ALWAYS make the movie look good, but i guess that's just their entire purpose.

man, skool starts soon. goodbye summer, we had some good times together. see you again someday.

last night i went to todai. oOo yeah it was good. i ate a total of: 2 plates of sushi, 2 1/2 plates of the hot food, 1 bowl of ramen, and 1 plate of dessert. that's not gonna break any records (san diego, brian haha!), but i'm pretty sure i got my money's worth.

okay time to go home now. peace out, nigga.

08.14.02
hey everyone, i got back from cali on sunday at around 6 and boy was that the longest i've ever remember being on the road. hmm well maybe the time when we drove from the bay area to seattle, washington might've been longer, but that was wayyy back in like '94 i think. so anyways, now that i'm back from california i guess this pretty much wraps up my summer. now it's just the last 2 weeks before skool starts and all i'm pretty much doing is working, hanging out w/ friends (even though most of you are already back in skool), and just getting ready for skool. sadly, i still haven't got my books or my parking space so i better hurry the hell up. haha. oh man i'm such a procrastinator. *bleh* so bad. yep, other than that i guess the only other major change is that i'm only working part-time again so it's back to the whole 1-5 deal. although, i doubt i'll be able to work 1-5 everyday during skool since i have more classes on some days than others. oh well, less work = happy me, even though i'm getting paid. yep, the goal of a car seems just too far off so it doesn't seem worth it to work so much since i focus more on the present than future. plus, i already have a car for now (even though the stupid a/c broke in it) so i guess i can live w/ it. yep cuz lately i've gotten kinda into the acura nsx and the bmw 3-series and i can't afford those right now so it seems like i'm just gonna stick w/ my un-cool corolla. hmm although i've seen low mileage, stock twin-turbo supras for less. oOo does that mean once i graduate i'll get an awesome car? oh man, i sure hope so haha. if not a supra then a 300zx cuz they're actually cheaper, but i still want a supra! hehe, but i figure i better learn to drive stick on a smaller, less powerful car first before i get behind the wheel of some car like the supra. hmm so 240sx? i guess just something i like that's cheap and can call my own just as long as it's a manual, not auto. ai yah must learn to drive stick! so pretty much this is my big blurb for now. i'm out.

while i was in cali i got a hold of a set of those plyometric bands. jeez, i've been looking into getting a pair since summer started, but never got around to it till now. so anyways, now i can improve speed in punch, kick, whatever. yay! so this morning i went to try them out and it kinda took a while to find a place and secure them down so it wouldn't shoot back at me and whip me. yeah if you've never had that happen to you, it hurts like hell. it's like think of those little rubber bands and how you'd snap them on other ppl's skin. then multiply it by like 10 and u'll kinda get an idea of how it feels. well moving on, i had to use a towel to help tie them down and as a cushion so they wouldn't wear down the bands when i strapped it to the fence around the pool. finding the exact way to hold it down w/o it coming loose took a while since the velcro wouldn't hold too well. so after i finally got them down right, held the straps in my hand and punched for a while and then got tired. then moved onto legs and strapped them to my ankle and just started kicking the air then the punching bag for a while. yeah, pretty glad i finally got a pair to work on this. now hopefully i won't be all slow and goofy looking ^_^

ai yah ever since i got a tv in my room, everytime i get home i play n64 for massive amounts of time. i don't know if that's good or bad, but it sure as hell sucks up a lot of my free time. i mean, it's sooooo fun, but i guess excessive amounts of it isn't good. oh well! so i got perfect dark, donkey kong 64, and paper mario in cali and i've been playing dk64 non-stop. that game is addictive, for ex: last night i played it from 10 - 12.30 even though i kinda planned on going to sleep early. paper mario's an alright game, but i play it mostly cuz i kinda get bored playing the other games too much so it's there to keep things interesting. as for perfect dark, well i didn't like it as much as golden eye mainly cuz like the name of the game says, it's soooo incredibly dark. most of the levels are poorly lit so it's hard as hell to see. oh well, once i play out the n64, onto ps2! yeah! video games and a dvd player!

well i've been in the bay area since last sunday and i've been up to the usual cali stuff: eating, shopping, etc. let's see so far i've been to...sf chinatown, random other chinese shopping centers around here, food, etc. haha interesting how a majority of things i do here revolve around food. then shopping, but mostly food. anyways, my aunt's wedding is tomorrow so that should be fun seeing all the relatives and other assorted ppl again. then the day after we all have to drive back to phx, non-stop. that's a 13 hr min drive!!! omg! it's like going to china on land. ghetto.... oh well i guess i get to drive part way again like i did when we drove up to the bay area from so cal. well, i best be off now. see you all when i get back. late.

08.03.02
so this is me writing allllll the way from mission viejo, california right now. the weather is in the low 70's and there's a slight breeze coming from the south-east. *sigh* it's sooo nice here right now. the weather is like....perfect. wayyy better than az's stupid 100+ degree heat. *blah* stupid desert. anyways, yesterday we left at around 6 in the morning which meant that i had to wake up at an ungodly hour of 5.30 in the morning. ~oi no bueno as they would say in mexico. so we headed down through casa grande, yuma, and then to san diego where we met up with one of my uncles and his mother in mira mesa. yep, my uncle's like the coolest guy in the world. haha yeah basically we share numerous interests to say the least. so yep, good times. so while we were sitting around at his house that afternoon, my sister and me decided to walk around the neighborhood and ended up at a local shopping center/mini-mall. sufficed to say, it was quite lacking in stores that interested me, but oh well i was in cali and that's all that mattered. later that night we went out to a CHINESE RESTAURANT. mmmmm cali chinese food. 10x better than that mexican-cooked garbage they call chinese food in az. this is the real deal nigga. haha. so yeah, i ate like a pig cuz i hadn't had decent chinese food in a while. *drool* i'm getting all hungry again, maybe i should go eat. well anyways, after dinner we went and got boba and some place called 'tea station' and it was pretty good, especially when compared to az boba. in fact, cali compared to az ne thing is wayyyy better. so yeah and now i'm here, after all that eating. mmm good eats. i guess that's it for now. maybe i can get a hold of a computer in the bay area. ~late

07.26.02
yes! my last day of work for the next 2 weeks! i'm excited. on top of that, i got my paycheck today! it's great, i worked full-time for the past 2 weeks so it's quite the pay-off. man, what a great day. yep, and next week i can take it easy at home and not have to worry about stuff so much. in fact, it'll be the my first week of summer that i actually get to just go out during the day n stuff cuz the only vacations i've taken this summer were to china and youth camp. jeez, no wonder i've been getting so sick of work lately. well that and the mandatory work in the archives. aw to hell with that, i'm free for 2 weeks! and i get to go to cali!!!! woo hooo!!!! then when i get back i'll have another 2 weeks before skool starts for me so hopefully i'll be able to cope with the summer winding down and stuff by then, but as for now i still have four weeks left or a whole month to just chill, take it easy, and get ready for next semester. ai yah that reminds me, i still have to get a parking space. haha, i called up the asu 'sundial' thing the other day and tried to get a parking spot, but it cut me off for some reason. sadly, the only two lots left are 32 and 59 which are ghetto as hell seeing as 32 is a motorcycle lot and 59 is on the northside of the sun devil stadium. ~oi that'll be a lot of walking each morning to get to class unless i take that shuttle bus thing. *bleh* i'll get that done later ^_^ i'm such a procrastinator.

oOo the hottest woman in the world.

scouring the galleries of project nissan-240sx, i have unearthed the many 240's that have become the inspiration of my future car. motionless' car was featured in sport compact car magazine a couple months back for their 240sx issue. rangerroh's picture is kinda dark, but he has the japanese sr20det engine installed and an r33 skyline's front bumper on, which is something i've yet to see many 240's do. finally, THE car that has it all, looks and speed all in one. omg sooo nice!

after reading through the newspaper today, i've found more reason to believe that that 'bai ren' are the most ignorant ppl out there. and i quote the Daily Courier:

"...though he practices Kung Fu, which is a JAPANESE MARTIAL ART, Davis has studied Karate fighting with Adkins."

- "A Real Kick: Prescott Valley to host annual Arizona Tiger Karate Championships" wednesday, 7/24/02, pg 6a, sports

eh maybe i just get peeved everytime ppl get their facts all mixed-up, but you'd think that in the world today that ppl would AT LEAST know the difference between these two things. ai yah....it just goes to show how they think chinese and japanese are all the same. yeah, well italian, spanish, french, it's all the same language to me ne wayz. what if i said that? ppl would think i'm pretty stupid, but that's exactly what THEY'RE doing. not to say that all of them are bad, but a good majority have proven themselves to be quite the unlikeable bunch. *sigh*

so enough of this rate-a-pix business, work is ghetto as usual seeing as today i got ANOTHER email from the same co-worker reminding me that there's always work to be done in their dept. oh joy! more work! i'm there! haha right...so anyways, i was listening to a canto-pop cd on the way to work today, i think it was edison chan. oh yeah, i was having fun! hehe it reminded me of that yatta mv except in cantonese. it was great. i felt like bouncing around in my car and singing along, but then i remembered that my cantonese isn't that great. so i just tapped my food and hummed along haha. yeah i know, i'm lame like that, but whatever. yep and today in the archives i was doing some random grunt work and that place is mucho stuffy and warm. so i tend to get headaches or just plain *bleh* in there. argh i hate that place. not only that, but they're sooooper anal about stuff in there like you can't use pens cuz it'll hurt the papers in the long run, can't put too much stuff in a box, blah blah blah. oh man, i never want to be an archivist/historian. bleh ok i'm done with this. it's gotten pretty random and incoherent as it can get today.

more interesting aim conversations with strange individuals.

ahh friday, the great day of transition from week to weekend. tgif indeed. so i get into work today and just start the usualy bum process of getting online and what not, but today was no ordinary day. for today....i had INITIAL D with me!!!! yes!!! INITIAL D!!!! only the greatest anime in the world (as of now). so yeah i got through the first episode so far and i'm working on the second one as we speak. this is some good stuff man, very jdm. nothing, but hardcore drifting in those scenic japanese moutain passes. not only that, but you get to learn all the elite japanese drifter terminology and culture too! wow! entertainment and education at the same time!! that's great! edutainment! wayyyy better than that pbs garbage here in america. jeez, those japanese....what will they think of next? however, work took a sudden turn for the worse when the secretary kept popping her head in to announce random things to me and then topped it off with, "a co-worker from another dept needs your help whenever ur not busy so go see ur co-worker when ur done." i was like....aw! what?! there goes all my free-time. haha. so yeah i go see my co-worker and they say, "we got a lot of work to do here. the upkeep of this place alone is far to great for one person so instead of taking any personal time when you don't have anything to do, you should come here and help me out. i'm pretty sure there will always be something for you to do here" and i was like, "omg F-this i'm outta here." haha so i did some busy-work for half an hour and then went to eat lunch. *whew* safe at last. so yeah been on aim since then basically. right now i'm just procrastinating big time and should probably go do work. ~late.

07.18.02
my day at work has been quite uneventful as usual. i get in at 10 and get online, do some chatting, and read some newspapers. 12 i ate lunch! that must've been one of the high points of today's workday. i took a nap from about 2-3 in the vault where it was nice and quiet. since then i've just been kinda chatting with ppl online n stuff. OH! i finally found that you hong ming song that i heard in china. it had the mv where he played basketball in this park and this one girl would come watch him play everyday and when he tried to talk to her she'd run away cuz she was deaf so he made this recording for her and gave it to her and her translator friend told her what it meant and she started crying and then after a while she stopped coming to the basketball court, but one day they meet again and he does some sign language whic probably said something along the lines of 'i like/love you' or something and then it ended. oOo that was a long sentence. so yeah good song. ~oi man, not being able to eat whatever i want really sux. i'm quite hungry right now, but i suppose that's okay since i should be going home in about 5 min ne wayz. mmmm dinnerr....*drool*

it turns out that is a 97 6-spd, single turbo conversion toyota supra and you know what the best part is? it's for sale!!! bad news though is if you go here and look at how much it is...*sigh* just too many benjamins. man, when it comes to jade sapphire pearl supras, i just die.

this is the funniest profile i've seen in a while, but what can you expect out of a 12 year old. note two points of interest: "...we can hook" (doesn't he mean "hook up?") and how he ends sentences with "go to hell k" like it's necessary that he gets some sort of confirmation that he wants you to go to hell.

want free underwear from the gap? click here

i have found the perfect napping place! in the vault, where they keep all the files n stuff. it's quiet and cool and i have stuff to hide behind when i'm sleeping. hehe. at first, i thought i would've had to sleep on the floor and that was fine with me, but then i discovered the greatness known as the very well-padded chairs they have in there. oh man! put two together and ur set. it's practically a couch then! jeez! it's over! i'm sleeping! hahaha.

i'm tired and light-headed so i don't think i'm going to gungfu tonight. plus, i think everyone's coming over again to swim so that should be interesting. jeez, i hope i can drive home. now i just gotta remember to print up all those free underwear coupons for everyone. using the dept's printer for that isn't considered an abuse of privileges is it? tee hee ^_^

song of the moment: gene autry - "you are my sunshine"
yeah it's corny, but appreciate it for it's lyrics.

07.15.02
dust storms rock...no really, they do. not only did it mucky up my clean pool, but it added an extra layer of dust on my already dirty car! whoa! awesome! yeah it seems that the two major things that i've actually cleaned lately have been for naught, thanx to everyone's best friend....the dust storm. on top of that, when i got back home from dinner last night, the power got knocked out as well! wow really?! really!! and since the power went, there was no a/c!! amazing! so not only has the infamous dust storm gotten everything dirty, but it's also making me VERY uncomfortable and when dexter gets uncomfortable you know what happens..."ppl die!!!!" hahaha just felt the need to quote dr. evil. so getting back to the dust storm, my family basically wandered around the house with candles and flash lights and do you know what candles do besides give off light? they give off heat too!!! soooo cool!!!! not only did we have no a/c, but we were using candles too!!! sweetttttt!!!! so you know what i did after that? i chose the escape of unconciousness rather than deal with all this excessive bs. no, i didn't drink or do drugs you silly goose. i went to sleep! early! OMG! man, ya gotta luv sarcasm.

ppl's online journals are the most depressing things to read. omg i just get bummed reading all this 'stuff' about "ohhh my gf dumped me and i'm really really hurt!" *ugh* what lameass bs. go cry me a river. not to say that i won't listen to a friend when they talk about this, but i mean this is the freakin internet! don't go online and bitch about it and expect someone to give a damn cuz i sure as hell don't. it seems like these ppl want some sorta sympathy from strangers who could care less about them and where's the value in that? haha now that i think about it, it reminds me of emo kids. man, those guys are depressing. always listening to this butt-rock music and crying and writing poems and stuff. frankly, i find it kinda fruity, but hey that's me. nothing against them or ne thing it's just not a lifestyle choice that i'd choose. why can't ppl just be happy and appreciate what they have? you got family and friends who care? good! that's all that really matters ne wayz cuz material things are nice, but they don't last nor would they always hold my interest. they seem to be more of a temporary relief kinda like an aspirin to a headache, it just numbs the pain. yep, i realized i was a "party-pooper" like them at one point, but that's over. happy days are here again. oh well, main point: be happy! ^_^ ai yah....

do ppl even read this anymore? hit up my guestbook and lemme know.

07.11.02
i've been bored all day, not doin a whole lot really. jus been downloading roms and stuff all day. i read a total of one newspaper. yep, one whole newspaper. you should be proud of me cuz i read one WHOLE newspaper. eh not really, but i've been trying to at least LOOK busy at work. hehe. so the rest of my day was comprised of me playing snes roms for that 'old-skool' appeal. yeah so those stupid dust storms recently smeared my car with their dirty dust. the worst part is that i had just washed my car last saturday. man, what a twist of fate. everytime someone washes their car, something like this HAS to happen. ~strange....

07.10.02
check out this guy's comments on the different parts on his car.

mib2 must've been one of the saddest sequels i've seen in a while. the preview made it seem like it'd be this summer's "hit movie," but it failed miserably. aside from the special effects and few humorous moments, the movie lacked a real solid plot and seemed to flow right through it without going into too much depth about anything. sadly, this movie was definitely not worth the approximate 2 hours i sat in the movie theater.

*drool*...my silvia/240sx!!! haha i wish. that nismo body kit looks so fresh and so clean clean.

~bleh, i'm sleepy again. i didn't get to take my nap in the vault yesterday so i might go try it today. plus, i wanna try to get out early since my cousin's flight gets in around 4.45. hmmmm a short workday then? hehe. i'm hungry now. time for lunch.

07.09.02
monty python's "i like chinese" song set to a flash movie. pretty funny if haven't seen it before.

a nice spoof of bruce lee, star wars, street fighter, martial arts movies, and most of all....steven segal.

man, i'm here at work again. bored out of my mind. i have a stack of newspapers next to me, a manila folder full of copying to do, and the last couple pages of inventorying left. *sigh* work is ghetto, in a bad way. on top of that, i'm getting pretty sleepy from lunch and i wanna take a nap. last night i didn't get to sleep on-time so when i woke up this morning it was a biznatch trying to get up. now it's just like...........yeah -_-

so i was going through a newspaper from sedona today and guess how's picture was in it? michelle branch!!! hahahah!!!!

07.08.02
back from camp up in prescott(?) and i had a pretty good time. learned some stuff and had fun in the process so it was all good. although a lack of sleep kinda put a hamper on it, but no worries. ne wayz, i'm back at work again jus kinda do my whole 10 - 5.30 schpiel. it's about 12 now so i get to eat lunch soon! yay! well, when i came back i had an extremely large stack of newspapers to go through (which i have hardly touched as of yet), some random filing & mailing out stuff, copies to be made, and this organizer that needed to be returned to our supplier. *argh* they don't make me return stuff! it's not my job! at least i don't think it is cuz i've never done it before and i have no instructions as to how to do it. ~oi way to go co-workers. on top of that i haven't finished doing the inventory to all those files in the inventory. eek i'm so behind =P so yeah, i have no real urge to get up and do most of it right now so i think i'm jus gonna chill.

so i think i found an alternative to all those newer, high-priced 240sx's out there. this is a blue/grey 91' nissan 240sx le with 112k mi. not sure if it's stick or auto yet, but so far it doesn't look too bad. however, the best part has to be that, from what i can tell in the picture, it's a coupe and not the fastback. fastbacks are all over, but those coupes have gotten pretty rare. sure there are high miles on the engine, but once you get the sr20det engine swap in, it ain't a problem and those goofy pop-up headlights? gone when you do the s15 silvia front-end conversion. so it won't be exactly the car i wanted, but it'd be pretty close and since it is an older car then insurance will be lower as well. oh happy day!

after seeing this website, cherry roms, i've been inspired to create a new layout for this site. not sure if i can come up with something as spiffy, but i can give it a try.

well, wednesday my cousin is flying out from the bay area to visit for about a week and a half. that should be fun seeing as this is his first time he'll have been here in a couple years. plus, he's coming by himself so his parents aren't here to baby him. so i get to hang out w/ him for the time being and i guess it should be fun even though he's only 11, i think. we'll see.....

so today my work computer is being extremely gay by taking forever to complete simple commands such as minimizing or maximizing windows. i guess turning it off for a couple hours didn't work since i figured i hadn't turned it off for a couple days that it probably was just a little bit warm and needed a break. on top of that the stupid cd player in my car stopped working probably duet o the intense heat of az's summer. yesterday i get into my car and start it up as usual and i skipped a song cuz i didn't really like the current one so it goes to the next song and just doesn't play it. this has happened before ever since i've had the cd player so i just unplug all the connections and make sure that there's no power running through it and let it sit for a couple seconds. i plug everything back in and attempt to turn it on again, but to no avail. it simply stared back at me with just as blank an expression on my face as it did it's own. so i unplug everything again and plug them all back in, but it still doesn't work. then i opened up the cd player and stuck it in front of the a/c vent hoping that after i cool it down a little that it'll start to work again, but i suppose it was damaged beyond just a simple 'cool-down.' man, now i have to use my ghetto old cd player which has no skip-protection which means if i put it down in the car that it'll skip like a mofo so i have to let it sit in my lap when i'm driving. it's sad how the only good thing in my car now is gone and in it's place is a half-assed replacement. therefore, i've come to the conclusion that i will finally get a deck for my car and maybe upgrade the speakers. nothing too fancy, just something that doesn't suck like ths stock stereo system. the worst part is that it's taking from the 'future car'-fund and instead is going into the 'ghetto current car'-fund. jeez and i didn't even plan on spending any money on the corolla. to make it worse i was going through toyota racing development's website and they don't have parts for my corolla. it's not that they don't have parts for corollas in general, just not mine's which makes it even worse. it just goes to show that not even toyota would dare to make this any sort of 'high-performance vehicle.' so this week has been screwing me over in more ways than one besides deprieving me of 'me-time' in which i do stuff that i want, instead of doing stuff that i'm told to do (ex: work), but it's not like i do much there anyways. it's just the principle of the matter. i'm there to do work rather than to jus chill and relax cuz that's what summer is for, but tomorrow i get paid and we'll see now if all that work i did was really worth it.

for pucca and mashimaro cartoons, check this place out. go to the 'flash movies' section.

so last night i had this weird dream where my sister and me were rummaging around some garage with a lot of junk in it and on this work table there's this funny looking little object. so we go up for a closer look and it turns out to be the head of a dead baby fetus. it was quite disturbing. it looked like a wrinkly, brown apple with two little nubs that were gonna be eyes (seeing as it was a fetus they never technically 'were' so i can't say 'used to be'). so yeah then my sister had to pick it up for some reason (i guess to dispose of it or in her case, save it for later so she could eat it ^_^) and put it in a box that i was holding. *end of dream* haha disturbing huh?

song of the moment: kiss - "without you"

dear God,
how's it going? i'm doing good, but You already know that cuz You're psychic like that. anyways, just wanted to give You a holler and see what's goin on? oh well, while You're listening i have this great idea. You see, You always want us to help others out and stuff so here's my idea. if You gave me super powers i could go around and rescue ppl in trouble and stuff. they'd be like, "oh (super hero name)! thank you so much!" and i'll be like, "don't thank me. thank God for giving me these super powers" but the thing is i kinda don't have super powers n stuff so if You could kinda hook a brutha up it'd be awesome. also, did You ever notice how all superheros drive cool cars? like batman drove the batmobile and blade had that big ol' muscle car, well this is where You can help out. since i'd be a super hero i'd need a cool car too. well to help You narrow down the choices, i picked a few out myself so You wouldn't have to go through the trouble. of course You probably knew what i was gonna pick, in fact You probably have the perfect one in mind too so hopefully You had chosen THIS car (to match my super hero costume of course ^_^), but if that's a tad on the expensive side then it's possible to swing for THIS one. not that ne thing would be too expensive for You, but for ME actually cuz i'm kinda clumsy sometimes. so whatever Your choice (of the two) is it's all good. so yeah that's pretty much my idea to save the world, You probably have a better idea, but i'm just giving You my input so let a guy know if You're up for this idea. You know how to reach me.

sincerely,
me

*hehe i hope that wasn't blasphemous in any way. just kinda bored and was on autotrader earlier. :bleh: you can tell how bored i am.

it's been a while since i smattered this little corner of the world wide web with my daily thoughts so i've decided to grace the world with what's been goin on lately. well, i've been working full time over the summer, which i think everyone knows since i talk to them on aim all day. man, working has been pretty draining. it's strange how i don't exert myself much physically yet at the end of the day i'm exhausted. so a friend from gungfu gave his opinion and said that you can actually wear yourself out mentally, but i've been trying to figure out what i do around here that is mentally challenging. problem is that there isn't anything really. i think it's just all this tedious, grunt work that i do which slowly numbs my mind and i swear kills brain cells. the worst part is that i found out i might not be eligible for srp's college tuition reimbursement program which means that i only have that scholarship to rely on in terms of 'money i don't have to pay.' it seems that the program is only open to "employees" and me not being and "employee," but rather an "intern." oh well, i guess i can find some solace in the fact that since they're not paying for college that i'm not really...ehh...how do i say it? umm...putting much effort into 'doing work.' in other words if i were to give you percentages of work as opposed to 'non-work' it'd be something like 30%/70%. basically, they're paying me not to do a whole lot. so i'd consider finding another job that'll actually pay for my college tuition or at least a portion of it. it wouldn't bother me if it wasn't as cushy as this job since there'd probably be a little more 'excitement' and i'm not sure whether or not i have to work a certain amount of hours to be eligible to have my tuition paid for. whatever, if they pay for college and i can stand the work then i'd ditch srp for it. even if they didn't pay as much! at least MY OWN money won't go to paying for skool! YAY! yes, if you haven't noticed i'm very opposed to using my own money to pay for 'skool' which is kind've a foreign concept to me. paying? to be bored out of my mind? why would anyone do something dumb like that?! haha. yeah i don't like skool very much, but i guess it's the only time in my life that i'll ever get to be free from all those 'worries' that adults out in the 'real world' have. which brings me to the conclusion that i now have 310 mp3's and 136 music videos/video clips on my work computer and this isn't a very good conclusion, but it just goes to show that you get what you pay for and srp....well they got me! hehe.

jim's dog is the meanest dog in the world.

man, work is sucky. i hope my paycheck cheers me up.

remember "where's waldo?" when you were a kid? well check this out! relive those childhood memories!

hmmm it seems after checking insurance quotes from various companies that it's cheaper for me to get the mr2 rather than the 240sx so i guess my decision is starting to sway in the direction of the mr2. well ne wayz, i'd just like to announce the award for 'stingiest jew in the world' goes to my dad. last night when i came home from work i just wanted to tell him about how i was looking through insurance quotes for the cars that i plan on getting in the future. all of a sudden he gets on my case about my current car and all this other stuff. he's like, "well if you get a new car then what're we going to do with the car you drive now?" well that's obvious, it's going to my sister, but i guess i was kind of implying 'future' as in later this year or early next year. then he's like, "well you know we still have to pay all these other things like insurance and license and blah blah blah" to which i only have to say that it's not like i won't completely ditch the car, i mean if i WERE to get one i think i'd still need the corolla around for a litle while just till i get better with driving stick. it's kind of like a 'backup' car. then he goes off about how he doesn't want me to be working all the time to make payments for the car and insurance and all that since i'm going to college and he wants me to focus on that. well, they kinda did set aside money for college for me, but it seems like it's more than enough to cover the cost of it so that's one source of income. then there's the fact that i have money saved up as well. also, i will be working in college, part-time of course, so it's not like i don't have any money whatsoever and that's just to cover the cost of the car. i have a scholarship, srp's tuition reimbursement, and possible gov't grants if my mom ever finishes that fafsa form i gave her a couple months back to cover skool. before i consulted my dad about it, my mom seemed to be okay with it, but when it comes to my dad, everything goes downhill. then he thinks i want a new car cuz my friends think it's, in his words, "shitty." i mean i don't care what my friends think about my car since they're not the ones driving it. plus, all i want in a car is that its fast(or has the potential to be fast), looks good, and is decently comfortable. that's all and yet they deny me that. instead, they stick me with a 'point a to point b' car. a pos gas-saving commuter, the bane of all fast cars. *grrr* stupid econobox, grocery-getting cars, imo they aren't something even worth making fast. i mean it's not like i'm asking for some $50k luxury car and two or three years back they buy a friggin lexus that's almost $30k! hmm let's see, i'm not asking for a new car, luxury car, or anything of the sort. jus something that is relatively cheap(almost 1/3 the cost of the lexus!), but a car i would enjoy driving. come on! damn, it all seems so hopeless now, i'll be stuck with my ghetto hoopty till who knows when, maybe even AFTER my sister starts driving. so guess what that means? i get to share a car with her!! woo-hoo! my ass. it's like they're pretty much buying her a car since the corolla is goin to be hers when she starts driving and i'm pretty much left high and dry to fend for myself. way to go mom and dad. the best part is that i'm the first-born son in a chinese family!!! well, i guess that doesn't matter anymore. maybe too oldskool or something. *sigh* so to sum it all up, my dad's being ghey about me getting a new car. end of story.

jus got back from dropping off some papers that needed to be copied in ghetto phx. *ew* that place is 'no bueno' as they say in mexico. ne wayz, i stopped by the local import car shop, mark performance, next to the mitsubishi dealership on scottsdale rd. it's a really small shop that doesn't really have much. the guys up front were like off doin their own thing. it was kinda funny i was listening to their conversation and they were talking about some asian guy (probably viet) who drives this sentra. then they started imitating him by making all these funny clicky, viet noises and it was really funny. *quack* yeah good times.

aw this sux. i've been goin over some numbers and i realized that i won't be able to buy a new car soon unless i don't spend a penny for the next 6 - 7 months which is impossible. even at that by the time i will be able to afford the car i want, then it'll probably be sold. *grrr* man, if only i could find a cheap car that i like and would be able to drive for a couple years. if i wanted the 240sx i've been lookin at it'll take a year of hardcore saving and i doubt it'd still be up for sale a year from now. also, i can't find any mr2's that are turbocharged. all of them so far are the n/a ones and i don't really want that. ~oi the feeling of hopelessness. i'd consider taking out a loan, but i'm not sure if i could keep up with it since i'll probably have to start paying insurance for my car, if i get it and i can only make so much for working part-time. obviously i don't want to rely on my parents to buy me a car cuz if they pay for it at all, i'll most likely get a car that i don't want. maybe i could convince them into letting me get the 240sx though and if that's possible, all i need to do is get more proficient at driving stick. :sigh: but i don't wanna get my hopes up now so i better stop thinking about it and try to go do some work. late.

dang i jus recalculated everything and at the rate i'm going at now, considering current income and expenditures, it'll take 27 1/2 months or 2 years, 3 months, and 2 weeks to raise up the necessary funds for the car. however, this is going by the part-time schedule i have throughout the year and does not take the full-time summer schedule into consideration nor the possible sick days & holidays, but that is still a veryyyyy long time. maybe i should look for a better paying job or invest in stocks or some crap. i heard selling drugs makes some pretty good money haha j/k, but man i need a get-rich-quick scheme. lemme know if you guys got any in mind. if it gets me some big bucks fast, i'll give you a ride in my car when i get it. haha righttttt.

continuing with the china trip:

day 8
so it was our last day with the tour group and my uncle & cousin, since they weren't going to fuzhou with us. that morning the tour guide took us to this market of some sort where there was like some hardcore shopping goin on. the buildings looked traditional and there were ppl all over the place. also, it turns out that weekend was the 'kids weekend'-thing in china. not sure what it was exactly, but it seemed like a children's equivalent to father's day/mother's day. well, i got a bunch of neat stuff like mao tse dong lighters, a commie watch, and a fake rolex. that rolex took me like 20-30 min to bargain for cuz the guy didn't want to give it up for less than 280. it was originally almost 400 yuan, but i got it down to 200 hundred. oOo how's that for my awesome china-haggling skillz? and i did it all in chinese! wow! i'm not a dumb abc after all! hehe right. so yeah other than that, nothing too eventful went on in the market. i couldn't find a decent butterfly knife though. it seems that china puts out crappy quality ones and they weren't worth paying for so yeah. after lunch, most ppl went to the airport to go back to america, we went back to the hotel cuz our luggage was there and our flight was at about 7 so we had to wait a little while. then the flight got delayed like an hour so we were there till 8 and got to fuzhou by 10 or so and it was ghey and i was like yeah whatever dawg. this is getting way to long so i'm gonna give the abridged version now.

day 9
shopped a lot. bought a ton of dvds and vcds. got spiderman and star wars ep2, etc. also got mosquito bites too. puzzled as to why God made mosquitos cuz they suck (literally) hahaha bad joke.

day 10
more shopping, visited granduncle's house. interesting stuff. had dinner in hotel restaurant. good food, bad service. they ran out of rice, how can you do that at a chinese restaurant?

day 11
last minute shopping, chilled around fuzhou. went back to shanghai

day 12
even more last minute shopping. finally got lord of the rings 2 and 3. flew back to US.

end of story ^_^

finally part 3 of my china trip:

day 7
we went to ling ying temple in the morning where we saw this old guy bustin out vertical splits up against a tree. it was THE most awesome thing i saw on the trip (besides boa's mv everyday ^_^). we went in the temple and saw the usual stuff, incense, idols, etc. yeah and it smelled funny when we were there, but hey incense always smell funny. other than that there wasn't a whole lot in that place. the scenery around there was really nice though, it was very....chinese n stuff. when we all got back on the bus, they tour guide took us to the lung chuen tea plantation where they gave us free tea and told us about how great they are. it was basically like an infomercial except it was live. here's us being exposed to their powerful, brainwashing capabilities. well, my parents and aunt fell for their wiles and they bought a buttload of their overpriced tea and to this day i have not seen them drink any of it. so after having my fill of tea, we headed to the west lake district and visited the tomb of yue fei. so general yue fei was supposedly a famous national hero who defended china from some foreign invaders, but was later betrayed by his superiors and executed. he was very popular among the ppl for his devotion towards them and his country. this went so far as to have the motto tatooed to his back. very hardcore. the original young and dangerous 'rascal.' so in front of his tomb, they built statues of his betrayors that are in a kneeling position to show a sort of eternal guilt to him. yep, very interesting stuff. kinda like the good ol' three kingdoms stories. next up, we got onto a boat and toured west lake (xi hu) itself. by this time it was hot as hell and i was out in the sun and i got kinda dizzy and a headache too so i went inside the boat and slept. i was pretty grumpy when i woke up too cuz my head hurt. other than that it wasn't that great and we got off and took a bus back to shanghai. 3 hours man, it was kinda long n stuff, but i slept so it was all good. in fact, i was starting to get used to really long bus rides. i guess china sorta helps build up ur patience. the tour group gets back to shanghai in the evening and we tour around the downtown area. we are right across the street from nanjing road, in some waterfront area that shows this crazy looking skyline. while the tour guide was kinda goin off about something or another, this merchant comes up to my cousin and asks her if she wants to buy this mao tse dong watch. she's not interested and then he starts to ask her personal info like where she's from and all that and she's like,"uhh yeah i gotta go." so he goes away and comes back a little later and asks me if i want to buy it, but i tell him i have no money and he's like, "okay okay i'll make it a little cheaper how about $5(usd)?" and i was like, "no, i DON'T have any MONEY" and he just keeps goin on and on about how cheap it was and that i should buy it, but i'm like yeah wuteva dood. so he starts doin the whole 'friendly china person' act in an effort to win me over into buying his crappy watch. he asks stuff like, "where ya from?" and stuff like that. for the 'haters' out there, i was able to communicate with him in chinese so that just goes to show that my chinese doesn't suck THAT much, nerd. he even said that my chinese was pretty good, but he probably jus said that to get me to buy the watch. *sigh* i was gettin all excited about that too. ne wayz, he goes away and comes back like two more times to try to get me to buy the watch and the last time he does i was with my family and i point it out to them. they start to laugh and ask him how much the watch was and he tells them, but since my aunt is like a big 'penny-pincher' (even though she drives a mercedes and bought a butt-load of pearls earlier) she turns him down on the spot and walks away. he keeps pestering and my uncle kinda gets ticked and tells him to go away since nobody wanted it and the guy responds, "i wasn't asking you!" and gets all pissy. my uncle keeps telling him to go away and he gets angry and mutters something in chinese that i didn't catch, but most likely nothing good and then raises his hand and sticks up his....pinky. haha i'm not sure if that's either the way the actually flip ppl off in china or he got the american style all mixed up. so that night, my sister, cousin, and me were all sick of the food by then. it seems like they served the same things at every meal, very gross. so we went to an italian restaurant on nanjing road where for some reason, we had to order in chinese. i mean it was a freakin italian restaurant!! come on! where's the english/italian? hehe i'm sure the black ppl i saw there enjoyed this even more than i did since i was actually the one who ended up doing the ordering. so yeah nanjing road was pretty fun since it was the most shopping i'd done since i'd been in china, a full two hours! also, the road itself was not bad, it had a bunch of stores that were pretty modern, although fobby. still it wasn't bad. it had pepsi flag's at every lightpost and a kfc around there plus, a bunch of shops with some pretty neat china-stuff in it. after the whole nanjing road ordeal we all went back to our hotel rooms for the last time with the tour group. yay! tour groups are evil.

days 7 - 12 coming soon.

06.14.02
alright so let me finish up the rest of what i did in china:

day 5
well we woke up early that morning so that we could get to the airport and take our flight at 9.30 to shanghai. a short plane ride there, as least compared to the 13 hour one we took to get to china. so we get to shanghai and get on the bus again and head straight to suzhou. we meet our tourguide mr. qien, who kept bringing up the point that his last name "chien" was the same "chien" as 'money' in mandarin. what a weird-o. anyways, he takes us to some restaurant and then we head off to tiger hill. it's pretty much some garden with this big leaning pagoda. it's really nice in there in terms of the scenery and what not, a lot like those pictures of green, chinese scenery you see in pictures n stuff. yeah didn't see much there except a really big mural of buddha lying down with one of those buddhist swastikas on it and this grody pond w/ a layer of green slime on the surface. next, we all go to this bridge for some odd reason and said it was a famous one that's been in old poems. i didn't know the poems he was talking about, but if i did i probably would've been able to appreciate it more. after that we went to han shan temple and it's got this temple that looks like that picture on takeout boxes. hehe funny and that pretty much was the end of the day after that.

eh that's all i have time for today. time to go finish some work.

also got the graduation pics up. check it out.

song of the moment: boa - 'no.1'
woo-hoo! boa!!! yay!!!! i saw her on tv everyday in china!

06.10.02
hey everybody! i'm home now! yay! well actually i've been back since last thursday night, but either way it's good to be back. china was pretty fun, even though it had some really, really crappy parts i think it all in all was worthwhile. so where can i start?

day 1
well after driving to cali and visiting some relatives the day before we leave for LAX only to arrive about 4 hours early for our flight. ever since that 9/11 garbage, my parents are got really anal about airport security and stuff so they ALWAYS leave about 2-3 hrs early on average. so i end up bummin it around the international terminal for an hour or two and then have some lunch, but not at the japanese place cuz i wanted A LOT of food rather than miniscule portions of rice and raw stuff. we left the US at about 1pm and arrived in beijing at 7 or so in the evening, china time. so the flight there was long and uneventful. no terrorists, no crazy remake of the movie 'airplane', just pure unadulterated boredom. they showed an old bruce willis movie about him being a river cop, but that was so-so, but sadly the only decent movie they did end up showing. next there was some chinese drama that i didn't really care for, but one part had the main guy telling the girl about all the foods he likes and that just completely turned me off. last movie however was the lamest load of crap ever. it was some gay german movie that was dubbed into chinese and then subtitled in english. good thing about the flight i guess is that they served food, but they have to serve food anyways since we're gonna be in the plane for 13 hours.

day 2
like i said earlier, we arrive in beijing around 7 pm and the tour guide took us straight to a restaurant that they referred to as 'ritzy.' well the food was alright and they even served chicken wings, american style. other than that nothing really special about the place. after dinner they took us to our hotels

day 3
our first actual day out so we toured around the major sights of beijing. first, we went to the forbidden palace. that place didn't really look as great as i thought it'd be, but i suppose for being a couple hundred years old that it's alright. i guess it must've looked better in it's earlier days when it was actually used by the emperor and stuff cuz if there was one living in it today, i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be up to 'royal standards.' while we were there, the tour guide pointed out a major hall in the forbidden palace. there were tons of ppl surrounding the entrance just to get a look or possibly a quick snapshot of it. all of a sudden, a short, flat-topped, monkey-looking communist guy walks up with one of those big amplifier things that the police use in hostage situations. he gets super anal and starts yelling at everyone to move aside and keep their distance. for a second i thought you weren't allowed to be up there, but it turns out that some foreign dignitaries from turkey came to visit and they were getting 'vip' treatment. jeez, so much for that whole 'we are all equal'-idea those commies had. anyways, the turks actually get to go inside the hall while all the tourists and 'common folk' were told to stand aside and keep a good distance from the hall. when the 'common folk' were finally allowed back, they all rushed at the entrance and when i mean rushed, they practically ran for their lives just to get a good spot. so me being in china, i do as the chinese and haulass up towards the entrance only to be rudely pushed around in a large mass of vertically-challenged chinese ppl. man, these things were like half my size and they were pushing ppl around like they were a 7ft, 350lb black man. i for one was quite disgusted at the way they treated anyone who got in their way and refused to budge and occasionally pushing back. so i got pretty sick of those dumb chinese ppl and decided to get down from the platform where the entrance was and had to 'go with the flow' of the pushing frenzy. when i finally got down i headed back to the tour group and on the way noticed some lady who got smacked in the face from being up at the entrance. anyways, after the forbidden palace, the entire tour group walked to tienanmen square where all those ppl got massacred. we didn't really get a chance to walk in tienanmen square, but we passed by it as we walked across the street from it. from there we visited the summer palace which was built in and around this lake whose name i forgot. it looked nice, but maybe cuz i didn't actually look around the summer palace, but instead we rode on a boat around the lake and merely passed by it. not a whole lot of excitement would probably best describe the day so far. after dinner the tour group went to watch some chinese acrobats perform, but by then everyone was wayyy to tired (especially since we weren't used to the time yet) to watch the performance so a majority of us slept during most of the show. as for me, i remember the beginning and then the end when they all came out for some big finale. probably the most exciting thing to happen that day was that some sprite i had in my backpack, spilled all over everything in it. well, maybe it was made me more annoyed then excited, but at least i wasn't bored then.

day 4
today we went to some big pearl shop where my aunt went nuts and bought some expensive pearl jewelry. next, we visited the temple of heaven which was just a really tall building with some chinese stylings. nothing really intersting. supposedly the emperor would come there once a year and worship in there. inside the temple there was a tablet from some supposed god of their's and a bunch of funny-looking statues all over the place. this is where i bought my awesome communist shirt, but sadly i got ripped off cuz i paid 10 bux for it. you may think, "hey 10 bux ain't a thang" but remember this is china. everything here is dirt-cheap. plus, it wasn't even some designer brand name, just some scrubby sweatshop, slave child-labor shirt. once i told my mom, she got on my case about it and then my aunt overheard and she did too. ~oi it was gay. this is when i realized my family must be some of the cheapest ppl in the world. next stop was the ming tomb's where the emperor's of the ming dynasty were buried. we wandered around outside for a while and i was surprised to find that it was almost like a park cuz of all the trees and nature stuff around. later the tour group went into only one of the tomb's and i was disappointed to find out that they already removed the bodies of the emperor and i couldn't see them *grr* oh well. after the ming tombs, we stopped by a chinese medicine museum where i met one of the funniest tour guides. he had this funny accent where he'd stress certain letters for example, "hundred" he'd say "hhhhaaaannndred" and "health" "hhhcccceeeaallth." then when we all sit down and get some chrysanthemum tea he tries to say the word "chronic" but it comes out more "ccchooonic." no one knew what he was trying to say until he started to describe it and then someone told him how to pronounce it correctly, but he said "cccchooonic" again. haha it was great. when he was done talking, the pharmacy offered to give everyone a free exam from a chinese doctor. it turns out i'm perfectly normal...well chinese-wise i guess. other ppl weren't so lucky.

that about concludes our stay in beijing (from what i remember off the top of my head). i'll finish up days 5 - 12 tomorrow.

What Seven Deadly Sin Are YOU? [?]

You're ANGER! You're not the most pleasant person to be around! You've got a short fuse, and you're almost always mad at the world. You're represented by the color red.

work has been pretty exciting today since i actually have work today, but most of the work has been the biggest stack of newspapers i've ever had to read. i have so much that'll carry over to tomorrow's stack. oOo spooky huh? naw, it shouldn't be unless you're ghey or something. anyways, i'm not gonna start at 9 in the morning now since i've decided to pick up a morning routine of working out, mainly any form of cardiovascular exercise so now i come in at 10. so if i wake up at 7 i get an hour and a half to workout and then another hour to clean up and get ready for work and finally a half hour to get there. i'm starting to like the new schedule already. oh and at lunch today one of my co-workers jacked a whole thing full of sandwiches and hooked me up with one. mmm sandwich. it sounds really good right now considering i'm pretty hungry, but sadly i already ate the sandwich. man, tonight i have to go to gungfu. i don't really feel like going anymore, but i've already come so far that i feel like it'd be a waste to stop now. maybe it's just that i've been out for so long that i'm out of the entire swing of things and just need to get back in and get used to it again or else i've just lost interest in it. hmmm i hope that's it cuz it'd be a damn shame to have spent 3 years learning and then just quit. well, it's not that i'd abandon marital arts altogether, but i think it's the style itself that i'm starting to lose interest in. no, i'm gonna make myself go tonight and my goal is to get in for at least 4 times a week this summer, but i'm not sure what is to come once skool starts. from the way it looks, all the ppl who just finished their freshman year made it seem like it was a nonstop, constant rush of work to be done so i'm not sure if i'll have time for gungfu then. *sheesh* so little time nowadays.

i graduated! yay! yep, last night at 7.30 the graduation ceremony for corona's class of 2002 began. earlier that day i attended the 'graduation practice' at 7 in the morning till 9.30 as to 'prepare' for what was to follow that night. so to pass the time during the afternoon, i visited all the homies at dobson hs. definitely good times since i was there from 11-3.30. haha it's funny how i'm out of skool yet i still go back, but to another one. oh well, it's not like i was 'learning' or any sort of work like that so i guess that's what made me able to stay there for so long. anyways, the graduation ceremony went off without a hitch and was completed in about an hour and half. wow, what a great feeling to have finally graduated. the feeling of accomplishment is overwhelming as of now knowing that the past 12 years weren't just a 'waste of my time.' so yes, it was definitely a time in my life that i will never forget. the weather was just right, not too cold, not too hot. all my close friends and family were there and wow it was just....*wow* that's all i can say to describe it. well, afterwards i went to applebee's for a little celebration dinner/'xiao yeh'-deal. a lot of ppl were there and pretty much a good time was had by all....at least from my pov. haha another interesting thing took place after we ate. not only did we manage to spot a niceeeeeee black supra, but also everyone decided to give stephanie and me, the graduating seniors, a graduation present. and what might that present be you ask? well, after being told to turn around and close our eyes, we were greeted with a volley of water balloons from everyone there. ~oi i ran like a black man with the cops after him. i luv my friends, so creative. after receiving such a warm present we all headed to david's house to chill for a while and then shevaun taught me how to drive stick!!! yay! it was great. i kinda got it down a little better now, but still need practice to perfect it. i mean like, i got the motions so now it's just time to get comfortable with them. also, i'm still kinda having trouble getting into first gear. then when i decided that i had enough learning for the night we all went to fry's (food and drug) to get something to drink cuz i was maddd thristy. when we got there i was surprised to find so many ppl in the magazine aisle just reading their magazine's. so we decided to do the same thing and did that for a while then left. i just went home after that, but that is a night i will never forget....well the first half of it.

hmm today was kind of an undescribeable day. i can't really put a word with it. i was home for the first half of the day then i went to drop off my sister's guinea pigs at brian's house. after that my sister and i went to fashion square to meet up w/ nazi cuz she bugged me to go haha. so yeah she had to go watch 'spider-man' which wasn't that bad of a movie, with her friends which left to find other things to do. luckily, my best buddy nico called me up and we went to golfland with ben and sam! yay! golfland! the best part was that the 'police 911/2' game had like 70+ credits on it so we all played for free and i finally beat that game. good times. so ben left early and i took sam and nico home. when i get to nico's house we start talking about 'the monster' aka his old skool honda accord. well, it turns out that he doesn't drive it anymore. so i was like, "what happened?" cuz i thought it broke down or something. he says that he got a new car and i was like, "uhhh...okay?" and that it's souped up. at that point i thought he was jus messin w/ me so i was like, "yeah sure okay. whatever you say, nico." it turns out he wasn't kidding. sso his brother is into import cars and modded this 4th gen(i think, whatever's the newest one) honda prelude. it was a VERY tight looking car! it wasn't flamboyant like all that ghetto, ricer crap, but it was clean and sleek. it had tthe whole white with red accents, integra type r-color scheme going on. there was a body kit, exhaust, intake, wheels, and some interior paint as well. simple, but beautiful. i normally don't go for hondas n stuff, but this was the exception. anyways, yeah we parted ways and i went home to eat dinner, clean up, pack, etc. which ends my day pretty much.

i'll be in china till june 6th so don't be surprised if you don't see me around.

btw if any car-enthusiasts noticed, in my picture i put myself in 'my' car....the 240sx...*drool* but it's the japanese equivalent, the silvia, which makes it even cooler. i feel japan was pretty accurately depicted cuz of that ^_^

i'm at work again. haha betcha you didn't see that one coming. anyways, i got in at about eight this morning and i'll be out by 12 or so, so that i can meet up with ppl for lunch n stuff. right now i'm listening to some weird techno song and it's in french. i don't get it, but it's kinda funny listening to it. oh and this morning i was listening to coco lee on the way to work and her one song 'ni shi wo de superman' is chock full of chinglish for example 'yao ni zuo wo baby baby.' ???? yeah...maybe i just heard it wrong...i hope so. then i think she starts rapping and i was like, "wtf?!" she had the funny chinese accent and tried to sound ghetto at the same time. it was realllllyyyyy funny cuz it's like...ummm....charlie trying to be black or something. haha yeah funny thought. yep, chinese music makes me laugh, in a good way.

still need to get a hold of the entire 'young and dangerous' series and my first vcd is scratched so it skips and that's no fun at all.

who the hell is 'del the funky homosapien?' and what a weird name.

so i read the newspaper today and there's this story in here about some guy from england. apparently he was arrested for retrieving golfballs from the bottom of lakes at golf courses around the country. the police found him all suited up, lakeside, and hauled him off, but he was released and given some minor punishment. this guy would collect the golfballs and then sell them for twenty cents each. he makes about 20k a year on it and even files tax returns for the money he makes from it! then last night as i was watching the news on fox 10, the chandler police were cracking down on people with outstanding warrants so they sent letters to these ppl's house. the letter states that they won a dvd player and to go to some place and pick it up. the newscrew followed a couple ppl as they were escorted from the front desk to this 'backroom.' hehe once they entered they made a lot of noise like it was a big celebration, but then the police bum-rushed them from behind and cuffed em. the victims had THE most shocked look on their face as they were questioning the police in disbelief as to whether this was a joke or not. haha it was so funny cuz it reminded me of that episode of the simpsons where homer wins a new boat, but it turns out the police were cracking down on all the criminals. man, that was great. the best part was some ppl still believed that they won a dvd player and insisted on getting it even though they were being arrested.

so i'm here at work right now working a FULL 8 hour day so this should be fun. well, i've been in for about 2 hours now and i haven't got a single ounce of work to do. hmmm i guess that streak of work i had has ended. well, looking at the bright side of things, it gives me more time to d/l stuff and read up on cars. yay! so a majority of you kids out there are taking finals now i'm guessing. well good luck on them cuz afterwards....freedom. oh it's so nice that feeling you get when you finish your finals for the second semester and then the dismissal bell rings...ahhh pure ecstasy. the thoughts that would run through your heads might be, "i'm free!" or all those great things everyone has planned for summer. chilling with friends, sleeping in, bumming around all day, goin outta town, jus relaxing 24/7 for 3 months. yep, good times indeed.

grrrr....240sx....*sigh* i wish you were mine

here's a nice pic for ya:

hmmm tomorrow i think i'm meeting up with ppl for lunch after they get out of skool so that means i won't have to work a full day! but then it also means i'll have to get up early if i want to get my four hours in and meet up with them on time. *bleh* oh well whatever, i have all summer to sleep-in. then thursday, after the graduation practice thingy in the morning, i think i'm gonna go to dobson and pay some ppl a visit since i've never been to dobson anyways. then that night i graduate! yay! probably gonna go out afterwards and get so wasted i completely forget who, what, where i am. haha j/k. that's justin's dept ^_^ ~oi then leaving for cali on saturday and flying out to china on sunday! woo hoo! china! i will live like a king there with my american currency! hopefully i can pick up a buttload of vcds, lighters, retractable batons, and any other cheap stuff that entertains me. oh yeah and the food! hopefully my taste buds aren't too american for the typical chinese fare over there. then there's the more.....'eclectic' food...hehe come here doggy doggy....so i can eat ya! j/k but i wouldn't mind trying dog only to find out what they REALLY taste like and then i can tell people i've eaten dog before and be hardcore n stuff. well, not really. people will probably look at me funny and then keep a 5-foot radius from me. cool, then ppl might stop invading my personal space aka my 'bubble.' yeah and as david said, "all the girls there are asian!" hehe that's kinda obvious, but he said the supposed ratio of good-looking ones to the not-quite-so-good-looking ones is kinda lower compared to america's. *darn*

hmmm i need a haircut....and some more gel. a new kind though cuz dep 10 doesn't work quite good...maybe i just wasn't using enough. eh, who knows? oh, bobby.

i'm kinda bored now. it's 1.30 in the afternoon and i've read only one newspaper. that is the summation of all the work accomplished today. omg, that's amazing isn't it? ai yah and not a lot of ppl have been on aim either so it's not like i've had great, meaningful conversations with ppl today. jus ur random chittah-chattah. blah blah blah blah i'm just sitting here killing time. ~oi i need something to do. well at least i'll only be in for four hours tomorrow in the morning so i won't have to do the whole eight hour deal. jeez.

a look at what MY 240sx might look like....if i ever got it *sob*

my first day of non-skool has been pretty interesting. i woke up around 9 and had to go to the doctor's for an appointment at 10 just to make sure that i'm okay since we're going to china soon. nothing really special although i'm going to a new place now for some reason. i guess my mom didn't like the old place we were goin to. oh well, nothing big really today. went to mervyn's afterwards cuz my mom needed something from there so i just wandered around the store for a while till my mom was done. yep, exciting to the fullest. when i got home i tried to refill a butane lighter, but when i opened it up all these little pieces fell out and it took forever to get them all back together cuz i have big, clumsy hands compared to those tiny little metal pieces. well i finally refilled it, but it wasn't lighting anymore. *tear* david says it's just too full and i should give it some time. i hope so. i really liked this lighter too. well, i'm at work right now just getting swamped with work. it's crazy. lately i've gotten about 50 billion new weekly responsibilities. in a way that's good so that it doesn't look like i'm some lazy bum who's on the internet all the time, but it still is work. anyways, i think i'm gonna go to gungfu tonight. it'll probably be the only time i'll get in this week and then i'll be in china for 2 weeks. i luv how consistent i am with gungfu. so yeah, good times and graduation is on thursday. should be good stuff.

wow, i've been chewing on the same toothpick since 9.30 this morning. it's 3.30 now ^_^

had a pretty good weekend again. wow that's like....3-4 weekends in a row. life is good. well friday night went to yg as usual. i had to participate in some skit on the dress code that night. it was slightly interesting in it's own unique way. could've used more 'believable' humor though. anyways, afterwards went to del taco and the cashier guy talked to me and thought i was japanese. it was funny cuz his accent was really out-there and he couldn't pronounce my name. david says that his friends went there and got ripped off and came back the next day to get his money back, but it was closed cuz the cops were cracking down on the drug-dealing and other such nonsense going on at this del taco. pretty crazy. so back to the story, we ate a buttload of cheap mexican food and i learned it's kinda like a dv kids hangout cuz everyone we saw in there was from dv. hehe if only steve chang had been there. so yeah brian and jack saw some ppl they knew from skool outside and there was quite a lot of conversation going on especially about cars. then i saw an oldskool mustang that was bumpin some afro-beats. it was such a conflict of cultures. oldskool mustang = saltines, afro-beats = antique farm equipment. it was weird so i thought i'd just share that with you so you can say that it's weird too. so yeah, the next day the food from del taco proved to be deadly to some so i don't think we'll eat there anymore. then saturday i was forced to be mexican and do yardwork for half the day at one of our houses in gilbert. i have begun to really appreciate mexicans now and that they are more hardcore in my eyes from being able to do yardwork for a living. so to sum it up, i hate yardwork. why do you think they make prisoners do it on the side of freeways? cuz they need it cleaned up? well, not as much as they want to make these prisoners suffer for their crimes against society. these gov't-types are pretty crafty 'killing two birds with one stone' like that. after being let go from yardwork for good behavior, i got to drive the parents' lexus home. fun stuff. chilled at home for a couple hours to decide what to do that night. i was gonna see star wars episode 2, but plans changed....then changed again and then i was gonna go see it after all. went to applebee's to meet up with charlie, angeles, phi, and calvin. after dinner we went back to charlie's to kill some time and wait for waj to get off work. by about 8 we're at his house to pick him up and his dad tells us these hardcore stories of when he went hunting. he even had pictures of it too. freakin hardcore. in this one pic he had this big ol' scary looking gun and what he shot with it. he friggin blew a bigass hole through the deer's neck. i was like, "whoa!" yep, just like joey lawrence. well after the story-telling we head out to esplanade 14 wayyyy out across the street from biltmore. it was quite a long journey, but luckily i wasn't driving. when we get there it was about 1/2 till the movie started and there was a small line outside of the theater so it wasn't too bad. charlie was kinda pissed that nazi and her friends changed the time they were gonna watch the movie to an earlier one cuz kanyon had to be back by a certain time. so we go into their theater and charlie yells something really loud right as the previews were going. hehe that rebel. so yeah we watched the movie, which btw was VERY awesome, and then called it a night since the movie got out at around 12.40. sunday i went to church as usual, but decided to join dave's sunday skool class for the day since they were goin to coffee plantation ^_^ chilled at coffee plantation for an hour or so and went back to church only to go out again to boston market for lunch. yep, the typical sunday. would've gone to chinese skool, but it was just the graduation thing and i didn't really feel like going so david, bobby, my sister, and me went to chandler fashion for a couple hours. bought a decent amount of stuff and saw bebe in that kids abercrombie store cuz we were trying to figure out why there would be two abercrombies in one mall. afterwards i went home and just watched some tv, internet, etc. for the rest of the night. yep, so star wars pretty much made my weekend. well that's it.

potato head, paddy, spudnigger, mick, narrowback. down with the rice king. long live the bumblebee known as i.

star wars: episode 2, attack of the clone wars. what a great movie. ~oi it's one of the better movies i've seen in a while excluding 'spider-man', but imo i think it far surpasses 'spider-man.' points of interest? well everybody must agree that the yoda fight was the most well-liked scene in the entire movie. omg, you wouldn't believe how quick that little bugger is. he was jumping all over the place, bustin out some crazy stuff you'd see from movies outta HK. weirdest thing though is that after he is done, he picks his cane back up and resumes walking like he actually needs it. it was very weird. then the 'thing' goin on w/ anakin and amidala, awwwwwwww i'm such a sucker for that mushy stuff. it makes me all....warm and fuzzy inside. also, there was all that background history for episodes IV - VI like more insight on the clone wars, boba fett, anakin, owen & beru lars, etc. yep, i guess i got really caught up in the movie cuz i was just like, "whoa! so that's where they came from" or "what happened" or yeah. i dunno, i just really liked the movie and i can't believe there are ppl out there that didn't. eh, can't make everyone a fan, but i'd seriously recommend going to see this movie even if you aren't one of those star wars fan boys. jeeez and natalie portman...man...haha pretty hot and then there's the t.h.o scene which i think was on the ship before anakin and her go to rescue obi-wan from that one planet. *sigh* i think i'm in love ^_^ haha so yeah go see the movie.
