               Clip coupons.  Check your Sunday supliment in your local newpaper for coupons.  Combine coupons with store sales for incredible savings!  Many companies of brand name products have a web page these days.  You can do a simple search for your favorites.  Join the mailing list and you get freebies sent to your home.

Purchase the required items and the cash register spits out savings for your next trip to the store.

Did you know that you can rinse out the "boiling bags" that Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's come in.  Just let them dry.  Re-use the bags in the place of herbs wrapped in cheese cloth for soups, stews and other seasoned dishes.

Save glass and plastic jars to store items you buy in bulk.  Old pickle jars are great for spaghetti noodles.

Wash and save styrofoam condiment containers from take out orders.  These tiny containers are great for lunch boxes- Kids won't mind eating their veggies with that container of ranch! Or fill the containers with salsa and bring some nacho chips. Great for that mid-day break at the office!

Egg cartons make great started pots for seeds.  If you have a green thumb, growing your own veggies will save you tons of money in the produce aisle.  Who can pass up at 9-cent package of tomatoes when a mere pound (1 big one or 2 small) costs more than the downpayment on a new car :)?

Shop for cookware at an antique or used item shop.  Cast iron skillets go for dirt cheap as well as glassware, such as china and crystal.  I found a Depression Era vinegar and oil container for onlly eight bucks!  Pretty, practical and inexpensive!
