Watching the closure of Excite@Home was one of the saddest moments of my life. While the company certainly made its fair share of mistakes and stumbled along, there were many very talented people who gave it their all and tried to turn things around. More than anything, we were like a family, and we always tried to have fun doing our jobs.

Before I left the company, I took digital photos of the folks I worked with. We already knew that the company was closing and many of us knew we would be leaving within a few days. Even then, there were still a lot of smiles in the pictures.

NOTE: I didn't shrink the images to preserve the quality, so they are at their original dimensions of 1152x864 pixels. Also, the images are hosted on a different server that's a little flaky. If you click on a thumbnail and get a "Forbidden" message, try it again and it should come up.
