..dreamers of dreams..

I must express this, or I'll be driven to a worser place than I already am at. Your poetry is amazing. It can bring a cold heart like mine to tears, from the reality that I can relate to. I must say that you are an amazing writer, and you should keep up the good work.
If a heart like mine can love your work, don't ever stop writing.

Sincerely, Kaylie.

Hello and thanks for replying so promptly. Well I am interested in any techniques that you may have, let me give you an overview of my experiences. I have had lucid dreams where I could control what I did as well as certain objects around me. Different techniques that i have tried, include chakra mediations prior to sleep; and astral projection work that has been amalgamated from Dennings and Phillips: Astral Projection the Out of Body Experience, and The Projection of the Astral Body by Sylvan Muldoon and Hereward Carrington; the latter being the most significant. My main object is to be able to dream lucidly at will. I have kept a dream journal for some years now and have found that it greatly increased my memories of dreams. Also their is a Dragon character that pops up alot in my dreams but only while dreaming lucidly, which seems to me unclear as why this character continually pops up. So that is about all of things that I have worked with so far with dream work. I hope this gives you a better idea of what knowledge I do have on the subject, and to what techniques you may think be apporiate as my next steps of progress. Thank you for your time and effort.

Blessed Be Erik Kamperschroer

Hello,
My name is Doug and I saw your web page on dreams. I have a question for you. All my life, I have felt like I could control my dreams, and I could also create my dreams. when I was little, I dreamed every night, and I always remembered my dreams, but I’m 18 years old now, and I don’t dream as much, and I can never remember to dreams that I do have. Sometimes, I will have a dream, and I’ll know I’m dreaming, and I can control everything, and I want to be able to do this every night. I feel like I have a gift when it comes to dreaming, and I can experience anything I want. My problem is that I seldom dream, and I want to know how I can relax myself, and make myself dream. Is there a special technique? Thank you.

I need to gain control of my sub-consicious mind and have been told that the only way to do so is by learning to control my dreams. I read what you said about your other self and have almost the exact same thing. My "other self" is my sub-consicious and has been recently creating problems for myself when I go out of body. Somehow it has gained almost total control over my spirit body, thus I need to regain control over it.
Your webpage is very interesting, I would like to know of what else you can do...
Thank you
Keiko

I don't know if your into dream interpretation or not, but that doesn't matter. I stumbled on to your site accidently and am very interested because as it happens i managed to reach that state of lucid dreaming thingie last night for the first time. In my dream, there are two guys, one of whom i've met once briefly, and one of whom i've only seen on tv. In the dream i know that i can have either of them if i want and i keep telling myself to go for the good looking one off tv. But in the end i ignore my own advice and choose the one i've met before, who is really shy in the dream. I should point out that in this dream i was watching myself from above, while still knowing it was me. Just before i reached my "decision" i realised i was dreaming, and tried to stay asleep to see what would happen as consequences of the choice between the guys. Unfortunately i failed to stay asleep more than another few minutes i'd guess. Any thoughts on how to maintain this state of "knowing it's just a dream" for longer? If so please reply to vonnie, thanks.

Hey, I just read your views of dream control or lucid dreams. I would like to know more about the subject, I remember when i was young i used to be able to do it, but now i barely even dream anymore. There were alot of thing you talked about that caught my attention like Dreamland, The Immagination, Poetry, and your views on Reality. These subjects appealed to me. Especially the poetry because i write alot of poetry myself. Back to the subject, I would like to know more about Dream Control, i have tried alot lately to at least have a dream but i dont even have a sleep schedule, i just go to bed when i cant keep my eyes open anymore, witch is usually at 3, 4, maybe 5 o' clock in the morning. Whenever i try to have a dream i alway end up not having anything. Whenever I do have a dream its usually a nightmare...I think its beacause of my sleeping habits, i have an uncomfortable bed, i wake up constantly during the night...er day...and i toss and turn. I dont know, maybe its hopless, i mean here i am at 3:47 in the morning watching horror movies, talking about dreams when i could be off having them...well hopefully you write me back.

My name is Jonah. I will be a junior in a high school residing in a small town in Texas. I have come to you because of my surging curiosity of the subconcious human mind. Dreams have continued to fascinate me throughout my life, I have had many thought provoking conversations about them and I desire to know more... I glanced at your page and it seems like you could answer any of my questions and educate me more in the field of dreams and astral experiences. Email back if you could help me at all. Thank you for your time.

I was just wondering if you could give me some hints on how to recognize when I am dreaming so I can control my dreams. I have been having WAY too many weird and odd dreams lately, and I was wanting to take a break from it all. Mainly I want to be able to become my Dragon self in my dreams, but I want to be able to do other things too.

My name is Rifa to begin with. I have a question about my dreams. Many are in "lucid state" as you call it. I have a few friends that have nightmares and therefore try not to sleep. When I ask them "why don't you just change your dreams?" I had no idea that many ppl could not do this.
My question is... If I have control over my dreams and I can change them on many occasion-especially if it is a reoccurring nightmare and I remember what is supposed to happen next-Why can't I kill in my dreams? Once I am ready and forming my plan I fade out of the dream. All the dreams in which I have control of are subtle, yet I cannot slaughter the leader of the dreams. I have a clear intent to, I even struggle to go back to sleep to complete the dream-sometimes I can pull my self back into the dream after waking. Do you have any advice on how I can maybe speed up my dream or hang in longer to go for a kill? Or possible why I cannot kill in my dreams.

Waiting for your response
Rifa.

Extremely interested in attaining some advice/help with meditation and dream control techniques. Years ago, I took some Psychology college courses and learned much about lucid dreaming, self-hypnosis techniques and the like to control dreams and I kept a dream journal and still do. The last few years I've been plagued with night mares that are Night Terrors and despite having a semblance of lucidity (a sense of knowing that it's a dream and not real while in the dream), I have been unable to control these Terrors. I will be aware of being in a dream, but unable to control myself physically outside of the dream; i.e. I have walked, spoken, moved, screamed and cried in reality but this does not usually awaken me. In fact, to be able to awaken at all, I have to "let go" of any control I'm attempting to have of the NightMare and allow events to unfold at their own bidding and to the point that I "pass out" from utter fear within the dream and "awaken" into reality.

Interested in another's view point....
Thank you,
Amie

I have been trying to lucid dream for some time now and have managed to do it several times but it happens spontaneously and I can not fully control what happens. In your site you mentioned something about techniques that can help you achieve lucid dreams and I was wondering if you could tell me what they were. And if you have any other information about having out of body experiences or anything related to getting out of the normal limits of the human body I would love to know It would be much appreciated.
thanks, matt
