NCWHL  Fees  &  Scheduling

Policies

Graphic of a calendar.    Scheduling Policies

In order to remain flexible with officiating and playing schedules for NCWHL and other leagues, Availability Requests will be due mid-month for the following month's games.

Every effort will be made to have the schedule completed by the 20th of the month.    This is to avoid possible officiating conflicts.

Confirmation of offered games should be made within 72 hours, preferably via e-mail.

Any game offered, but not confirmed within 72 hours may be offered to another official.

Once a game is confirmed, the official is responsible to fulfill his/her commitment.  Please do not request games and then reject them when offered.  While emergencies do occasionally arise, habitual tardiness, "late notice" cancellations, and missed games inconvenience your partner, the teams, and the league, and will not be tolerated.

If you have questions about these policies, contact Joanne "jj" Nakaso, joannenakaso@earthlink.net

Notes:
1.    Games are normally scheduled with 2 officials; a "solo" game is extremely rare, and would only occur if an official if two officials are not available for the game.

2.    NCWHL does not use the three- and four- officials systems.

3.    After the second occurrence missing games within three months, an official may not be asked to officiate NCWHL games again, and may also forfeit games already scheduled.

4.    If a replacement is found for multiple games, the late official forfeits all game fees.

5.    There is no fine for canceling within 72 hours of the scheduled game IF the game assignment was accepted within 72 hours of the game.

6.    After the fourth occurrence of "short notice" cancellation or tardiness  -FOR ANY REASON-  within three months, an official may not be asked to officiate NCWHL games again, and may also forfeit games already scheduled.
