Situation: Awarding Goals and Assists
What is the procedure if the Referee inadvertently reports an incorrect player number for a goal or assist?

Response:  See rule reference 506 (c). 
The Captain should, at a stoppage of play or intermission, make a polite request of the Referee to change the player number for the goal/assist in question. No requests for changes in any award of points shall be considered unless they are made at or before the conclusion of actual play in the game.
