Juneau

Juneau, the capital of Alaska, is the most inaccessible capital city in the nation. From the outside, it can only be reached by boat or plane. No road goes in or out of the city due to the massive Juneau Icefield and the rugged mountains that hem it in.
Juneau lies up the Gastineau Channel, and across the narrow channel is Douglas Island. Juneau boasts a steady population of about 30,000 people, making it the third largest city in Alaska.
