Skagway
Skagway was made famous by the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. It lies at the northern tip of the Taiya Inlet of Lynn Canal. This waterway owes its existence to the massive glacial activity that once existed here.
Gold seekers chose Skagway as the port from which to head into Canada and the gold fields. A relatively short distance away, Canada can be reached by White Pass or Chilkoot Pass.
