Visual evidence is hard to come by for some garments, but laughably easy for others. Perhaps I shouldn't say evidence, because we know these things existed... Let's instead call it documentation. The pictures in this section boil down to these garments: Bliaut, Cyclas-type Garments, Early Cotehardie, Capes and Mantles, Headwear, and Everything Else (which includes underwear and the like) The page may take a bit to load even though I've tried to keep the size of the pictures down as much as possible.
Note: I did have pictures up on this page that were both a bit earlier and a bit later than the stated time period of this website. This, believe it or not, had a purpose: to show you the garments from which those of the 12th and 13th centuries evolved, and in the case of the later garments to show you where it went. After all, everything comes from something, does it not? It seems however that some esteemed ladies had a problem with this. They thought it would be too confusing, or that perhaps I simply did not care whence my documentation came. This latter is untrue, and as to the former, if anyone has been confused by me I apologize.Instead of trying to defend my placing of such materials on this site, I simply chose to delete them.
