We are a group of friends who enjoy downhill skiing and have gathered as
a club to share our skiing experiences. Our club concentrates on offering
unique skiing experiences to those who have developed a love for the sport
whether a beginner or expert.
Every year we plan an exciting schedule of ski trips for our members and
guests. Usually this will include several trips to the west including such
areas as Vail, CO; Whistler, BC Canada; Lake Tahoe, CA; Taos, NM; or Salt
Lake City, Utah. Also, we always plan a trip within driving distance such
as Seven Springs, PA and Holiday Valley, NY. For more details on this year's
trips, go to "Club Trips".
Club membership has many advantages. As a member, you can save money on
ski trips; there are many group discounts from ski areas and savings available
to clubs which individuals cannot take advantage of.
Our club trips are always planned with both luxury and economy in mind.
We try to rent ski-in/ski-out condos, usually with a hot tub or Jacuzzi
to soothe away those skiing aches and pains. All local trips are driving
trips; we help organize car pools. All club activities are non-profit and
are planned by other members of the club.
As a smaller club, we are able to respond to the wants and needs of the
members. You will never be asked to share a room with someone against your
wishes. We plan trips to ski areas as requested by the members of the club.
It is possible to get to know more of the other members and always have
friends to ski with. The members that are more skilled skiers are always
willing to ski with less advanced skiers and assist them with improving
their skiing skills.
We are a quieter group than you might have experienced if you have tried
other ski clubs in the past. We do have apres ski parties but these usually
consist of friendly gatherings for dinner and conversation. Those that
wish to turn in early can easily do so. A dip in the hot tub is a popular
after-skiing form of relaxation.
Our club meetings are normally every second Wednesday of the month September
through March. Meetings are held at the Indian Creek Condos clubhouse in
Kenwood. Please see the 'Meetings' page for directions.
To join the club come to a meeting. Dues are $25 for a single membership
or $35 for a family. Your dues cover a monthly newsletter. Snacks are provided
by members and there is a cash bar at each meeting.
