Congratulations "Trip" Triplett!

Lion "Trip Triplett," member of the Fort Stockton Lions Club and an associate and regular attendee of the San Angelo Downtown Lions Club, was named to the Texas Lions Hall of Fame at the recent State Convention in San Angelo. Congratulations, Trip!

Congratulations Downtown Lions Golf Team, #1

Texas State Lions met in San Angelo for the State Convention in May. 472 Lions attended the convention, the largest state convention in years. Thanks to all Lions in the San Angelo area that helped make it a success. Team #1 from the Downtown Lions was highly dynamic, winning the golf tournament. They placed first among 28 teams. Members of the team included Pat Callahan, Wrey Montgomery, John Callahan, Jr., and Ron Beard. Team #2 led by John Fortenbery and Jim Seale did not fare so well. However they did manage to place #28 in the field. Lion John received a prize of a pound of coffee to keep him awake on the course as a consolation prize.

The San Angelo Downtown Lions Club meets at noon each Thursday of each month at Candlelight Room, Rio Concho, 401 Concho Street, San Angelo, Texas. See map below.

Board Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at noon at Rio Concho. Everyone is invited to attend these meetings, and may also use as a make-up for missed meetings.
