On the 19th March 2000 our Dad left Australia to hike the Appalachian Trail.

This site was originally created for him to keep in touch with his family and to inform family and friends of his whereabouts and adventures.  After completing 450 miles of the trail, Dad returned home and we have decided to revamp the site as it could be of use to future hikers or just plain good reading! Dad returned to the Trail in 2002 and completed it. There is a seperate web site for that trip which can be found HERE
