The Explorer Post is a Law Enforcement Career oriented program for men and women ages 14-20. The Explorer post is operated year round with a Junior Police Academy incorporated during the summer.
The Police Explorer Post has several advisor's that are police officers with the Dunn Police Department, Harnett County Sheriff's Department and North Carolina Highway Patrol and are also certified instructors that will teach most of the classes.
The Explorer Post is part of the Boy Scouts of America, and the Explorer Post has a partnership with the N.C. Justice Academy in Salemburg, N.C.
CURRENTLY - The Police Explorer Post Program is accepting applications and will start in full swing February 1, 2005. Meeting dates, schedules and activities will be posted after February 1st, 2005.
