- "just thought you' ought to be aware that the annual
(3rd or 4th annual) NCR (Lake Mary) Christmas Reunion was held Dec 11th at
5:30pm at Stacey's Cafeteria in the K-Mart Center on the corner of route
434 and 436 in Altamonte Springs, FL. Vic reports he was the only original
DPIer there, but the following are some of the E&M Orlando personalities
attending you might recognize: Bill Mitchell - Director of QA, Dave Joswick
- Director of HR, Dave Starkweather - Controller, Bobby Beverly - Administration
to the GM office, Donna Tumpack - Administration to many of the directors,
Bud Hacket - Mechanical Engineering, Bob Porter - QA and Boundless, David
Cornell - Finance & Product Mgmt, George Weightman - Industrial Design.
Les From had a big 80th birthday party - About
65 relatives and friends were in Poulsbo, WA to help Les celebrate. Former
DPIers Bill and Marge Hill, Bob and Mary Hedrick, as well as Les, Dick, and
Bill From were there. Several cards, letters, and emails from DPIers were
received. Besides the fun, food, and fellowship, the main event was
a "Sanity Hearing" procecuted by Dick and Bill with Edith being the Judge
with final authority. With all the evidence piling up the verdict was
obvious. But can't we question the sanity of most DPIers????

Kevin Stranahan remembers the Phrog Lady - "She threw
great parties!!!! I seem to remember a "Ruin the rug" party at her place
back in the summer of '78. A bunch of us "dumb" trainees thought she was
serious!!!!!"
