RETAIL CATALOGUE JUNE 2004

We are pleased to present our illustrated catalogue detailing our moulds, veiners, pastes, publications and  sundries.

Care should be taken when using these moulds as, whilst being very flexible, they may be irreparably damaged if they are bent double as a tear may start.

When using our moulds, the following materials may be used: Sugarpaste, Flowerpaste, Modelling paste, Marzipan, Supermarket Dairy Fudge, Chocolate, Boiled Sugar, Cold Porcelain, Salt Dough, Fimo etc.

Placing the mould on a firm flat surface press chosen paste firmly into the mould. Gently squeeze the sides of the mould to start the release process and GENTLY flex the sides of the mould to allow removal. In the case of the Fairy and Teddy Bride & Groom, these should be removed feet first to prevent elongation of the feet and legs. The Horse should be removed head first allowing gravity to remove the legs. Animal Heads should be removed chin first. A gentle massage on the back of the mould aids removal. Instructions for the 3D Swan mould and Flower Centres mould are included with the mould. It is not necessary to treat the moulds with any grease or powder as they are non-stick. If your paste is sticky it will not easily de-mould. This may be rectified by leaving the paste exposed to air to dry a little, then re-kneading and using it, by adding additional icing sugar to the paste or as a last resort, powdering the mould with cornflour.

Our veiners are authentic copies of the front and back of the same leaf or petal and do not require to be cornfloured before use.

Our paste range include the award winning Platinum flower paste for ultra fine, lifelike flowers. We recommend the use of the Antique White paste as this does not contain a whitener so becomes translucent when rolled finely whilst still retaining a white appearance. This paste has a shelf life of 1 year unopened  and can be frozen for long term storage. If not frozen, it should be kept airtight in your workbox. It does not require refrigeration as there are no animal products to go off. The paste range also includes a classic Mexican paste together with a good modelling paste, a non edible modelling paste and our useful Royal Icing To Go, so good when you only need a small amount of icing to pipe a name or a shell border.

Our publications include the book ‘Softly-Softly’ showing how to make 12 flowers the soft way. We have an ever increasing list of Franklin Files which are illustrated, laminated worksheets covering the flower or leaf of the title.

We carry a selection of useful sundries such as empty pots suitable for colours, brush bottles, dropper bottles etc.

We hope you enjoy using our products.
