Social Work and Adventure-based Practice Survey

This is the first step in a qualitative inquiry exploring the relationship between social work and adventure-based practice. For those unfamiliar, qualitative inquiry is concerned with understanding the how rather than the how much, which is the concern of quantitative inquiry. The goal of this inquiry is to better understand the relationship between social work and adventure-based practice or the place of adventure-based practice in social work. The results of this study may be used in the future to develop a quantitative inquiry. The results of this study will be confidentially presented (there will be no identifying information presented). I am asking for contact information so that I can pursue follow up inquiries with you. These inquiries may include follow up e-mails, phone calls, or focus groups, and will be used to further clarify and understand this area of study. The contact information is optional, you are not required to give it to participate in this study.

Directions: Please read each question and respond as fully as possible. The usefulness of qualitative inquiry is the ability to interpret large quantities of data and to fully hear your story. Short answers may not fully tell your story. After completing the open ended questions please provide the requested demographic information. This information will be used to generally describe the group that responds to the survey. When complete simply hit the submit button at the end of this form. If your browser does not support forms you man e-mail me and I will send you an e-mail version or postal version of the survey (please indicate which you would like).
