MY ARTWORK
This is a scene from my fanfic, "Please Don't Let the Fire Die". (To read it, hop on over to my Mighty Ducks Stories page.) This kind of gives away the ending, but if you know me at ALL, you will kind of suspect that many of my AU fics will go this way. *g* This image popped into my imagination while I was waiting to fall asleep. Yeah, I'm morbid that way. Discovering mortality is never a painless realization. A grieving Wildwing carries the lifeless form of his teammate and friend from the battlefield. Yes, of COURSE this picture (and story) will have angst! Have you ever known me to do anything else? ;-) This is my first real attempt at MD art and I'm totally happy with Duke although I with 'Wing had come out a little better. But it's one of my best works overall (which will tell you I'm not a great artist *wink*).
Okay, so I didn't exactly _draw_ this picture, I scanned it. But it took me two darn hours to scan it and touch it up enough---they didn't even put the chip in his beak, for cryin' out loud! And since it took me two hours to scan that thing and alter it so that it looked presentable enough to use here (i.e. no lines pointing to his puck launcher and SAYING it was a puck launcher in three different languages----yes, I got the picture from the box of my really cool Spy Squad Duke action figure. I love that guy. But anyway . . .), I'm gonna count it as artwork, dang it! The computer work gave me a mondo headache, but I'm pleased with how this turned out. :)

LOL and I KNEW that loving two ducks from two competing series was gonna mean trouble. Although this is just sweet. Kudos to Cajun for drawing such a marvelous pic----and for getting Darkwing's personality down to a T! Thank you so much for the picture! :)
